SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA: 'Amerian Idol' Season 22 contestant Jordan Anthony was eliminated from the singing competition despite one of the 'best performances'. During the latest live episode, Jordan performed Whitney Houston's song, 'I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)'.

Jordan's latest performance was dubbed 'best' so far. Following Jordan's Top 14 performance, Lionel complimented the aspiring singer for 'letting go' and having 'freedom on stage'. The ABC show judge noted, "Until you grabbed that microphone, you let go. Enjoy this moment."

Katy Perry praised Jordan's 'amazing' jazz chord he ended his performance on. She called the performance his best so far adding, "You've grown so much." She said, "That jazz chord you ended up on, that was amazing. You sounded like a super pro. I think that’s the best performance you've given."

Luke Bryan claimed that Jordan "nailed it from top to finish." Despite the judges' compliments, Jordan's performance didn't save him from elimination as he failed to receive enough votes from the viewers. A social media user commented, "JORDAN! WAS! ROBBED! 😢." Another person added, "America got it so wrong tonight 😭😭." One critic noted, "He was suppose to make top 12 !!!"

Another fan said, "DEVASTATED THAT YOU WENT HOME but as we all know the people who win American Idol aren’t even the ones who are the most famous." Another user stated, "Legit screamed when they didn’t call you." "Why he was eliminated? 😢 he was great too 😢," added another fan.
