Is Jordan Anthony in top 24? ‘American Idol’ Season 22 fans find singers performance 'unimpressive'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jordan Anthony secured a spot in the Top 24 of 'American Idol' Season 22 after impressing the judges with his performance. His smooth vocals on Adele’s 'Love in the Dark' captivated the judges, earning him the first spot in the Top 24. The power and emotion in his rendition left Katy Perry with goosebumps, showcasing the impact of his performance on the judges. This accomplishment marked a significant milestone for Jordan as he continued to advance in the competition, however, fans didn't echo the same emotions.
Many fans expressed dissatisfaction with the judges' decision to advance Jordan to the Top 24, as they didn't find his performance impressive enough. Some fans believed that his rendition of Adele's 'Love in the Dark' didn't warrant a spot in the next round of the competition. Additionally, others initially doubted that Jordan would make it to the Top 24 due to the stiff competition and the high standards set by the judges. "Idk Jordan wasn’t that impressive," said a fan on Twitter. "DID YOU HEAR ME -- Jordan Anthony MADE THE TOP 24 OF," said another

Some thought that if Jordan could advance to the top 24, fellow contestant Odell Bunton Jr deserved to be in the top spot too. "Odell Bunton, Jr. - singing Nina Simone's "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" -- I mean if they advanced Jordan they CERTAINLY should advance Odell b/c his voice is." Sone found his performance nothing but boring. "jordan tad boring for my taste."

Jordan Anthony was also seen in 'The Voice' Australia
In 2019, at just 14 years old, Jordan auditioned for 'The Voice' Australia. Despite his young age, he impressed the judges and made it through to the finals, becoming the youngest singer to do so on the show. Remarkably, he secured the last slot on the season, which was advertised as an 'all-star' season featuring previous participants returning to compete again. Despite the tough competition from seasoned performers, Jordan's talent shone through, allowing him to defy the odds and reach the finals.
After his stint on The Voice, Odell was invited to represent Australia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with one of his original songs titled ‘We Will Rise’. This opportunity allowed him to showcase his music to an international audience, which was an exhilarating experience for him. It was a significant milestone in his career, as he got the chance to share his talent and creativity on a global platform at such a young age.
Why did Jordan Anthony lose The Voice Australia?
Jordan experienced a setback when he competed in The Voice Australia, when unfortunately, his performance did not meet the expectations of the judges, and they decided not to advance him to the Quarterfinals. This ultimately led to his elimination from the competition. It's worth noting that he was eliminated instead of Ben Platt, indicating the tough competition he faced on the show.
Despite losing, Jordan's performances from 'The Voice' Australia have garnered over a million streams on Spotify. Among his most popular renditions are Kesha's 'Praying' with 770,000 plays and P!nk's 'What About Us' with 260,000 plays, both of which have topped the charts. Interestingly, his audition song for the show was 'What About Us'.
