KINGSTOWN, MICHIGAN: 'Mayor of Kingstown' is a highly acclaimed series created by Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon. The show has garnered a significant following due to its gripping storyline, powerful characters, and intense portrayal of the prison system and criminal justice dynamics.

The success of 'Mayor of Kingstown' led to the production of three seasons. Jeremy Renner’s portrayal of Mike McLusky has been widely praised by fans.

The power dynamics in Kingstown become even more unstable as new players emerge in Season 3. However, fans can't help but wonder why the real Mayor of Kingstown remains unseen.

Various fans have taken to Reddit to share their stories and theories about the real Mayor of Kingstown. This character, while central to the show's premise, remains unseen, sparking much speculation and discussion among the show's dedicated fanbase.

On Reddit, fans have proposed numerous theories about the real Mayor of Kingstown. Reddit threads are filled with detailed discussions, with fans dissecting every clue and piece of dialogue from the series. Some fans share their creative interpretations and speculate on who might be the real Mayor.

A fan wrote on Reddit, "Iris is the actual mayor. That’s the secret she’s been hiding." While another fan said on Reddit, "Its not weird that the mayor wouldn't close associate himself with a bunch of crime and corruption. Even the higher ups at the police department and prisons don't want to associate with Mike and the crew any more than absolutely necessary."

A fan on Reddit gave reference to a moment in 'Mayor of Kingstown' where the actual mayor is mentioned indirectly. In this scene, Iris (Emma Laird) visits the McLusky office and questions why Mike is referred to as the Mayor. The secretary responds that the real mayor is aware of what Mike does and acknowledges his influence.

The fan said, "The actual mayor is mentioned. I can't remember what episode but I want to say it was someone asking his secretary what Mike, or it might have been early enough to be Mitch, does and she says the real mayor knows about it too. Now that I think about it I'm pretty sure it's the episode where Iris first goes to his office and is waiting on him. She asks why they call him the mayor and says something about what does the real mayor think of that? But the secretary says he knows it too. I don't recall if she says anything else but he knows what Mike is about. You'll notice the police chief and feds make comments and know it too."

Another fan wrore on Reddit, "It started with the father." The fan indicates that the McLusky family's power and role as intermediaries in the town were established by the father of Mike and Mitch McLusky (Kyle Chandler).

Another fan expressed a desire to see more of Mitch's backstory in 'Mayor of Kingstown.' The fan said on Reddit, "I wonder if we'll ever see Mitch to provide backstory like the older brother in The Bear."

A fan pointed out that 'Mayor of Kingstown' rarely, if ever, shows any elected officials, which is notable given the show's setting in Michigan. The fan wrote on Reddit, "We never see any elected officials, and that says a lot considering it takes place in the state of Michigan. I think they could make a good joke out of it, but I don’t see it becoming an actual plot point."

Another fan humorously commented on Reddit, "It's a valid question. But, I don't give a flying fuck and the show also does not." Another die-hard fan of 'Mayor of Kingstown' said on Reddit, "I was pretty sure one of the earlier episodes did address it, at least a little. I thought there was an "I'm the actual mayor, I don't have to listen to you" energy thrown at Mike, but it's been so long I honestly don't remember."

Another fan mentioned on Reddit, "My wife and I have this exact same conversation a couple of months ago. If Kingstown were a real place it would be the most dangerous small town in a country. Just think about the number of violent crimes that take place in the relatively small town. They literally found a bus full of bodies, trucks full of guns in the middle of a neighborhood, dead bodies at the bottom of a swimming pool and criminals blowing up cars at a police station. The only elected official I remember seeing was the guy Bunny's gang killed in the parking deck."

Another fan shared a pragmatic view about the absence of Mayor character in 'Mayor of Kingstown.' The fan implies that TV producers and writers may not include certain elements, like a Mayor, unless it becomes relevant to the plot or a writer proposes it as part of the narrative.

The fan wrote on Reddit, "A mayor wasn't in the budget. Don't expect TV shows to fllw real life. TV producers don't sweat the small stuff not in the storyline and don't expect viewers to dwell on it. If there comes a day when a writer proposes a mayor storyline, then they'll drop one into the show."

A fan expressed curiosity and perhaps frustration about the absence of the real Mayor character in 'Mayor of Kingstown.' The fan said on Reddit, "Excellent question!! We know like everyone other civil servant on the show why not the real mayor!!?"

Fans of 'Mayor of Kingstown' find themselves in a curious position, eagerly awaiting the introduction of a real mayor character in 'Mayor of Kingstown' Season 3. For now, fans continue to theorize about the possible role and character traits of the unseen mayor.

It seems that the real mayor could potentially be someone from the McLusky family whom viewers have not seen yet. It could be Mike's grandfather, who entrusted his grandson with the responsibility of taking care of Kingstown.

There's a possibility that the family's history and influence in Kingstown extend beyond what has been shown so far in the series. A backstory could reveal insights into the family's values, motivations, and perhaps even conflicts that have shaped their approach to maintaining influence in the town.

It could also be someone who is a close friend or ally of the McLusky family. This possibility suggests that the real Mayor of Kingstown might not necessarily be a blood relative but rather someone trusted and respected within their inner circle.
