KINGSTOWN, MICHIGAN: The much-anticipated ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ Season 3 Episode 4 has finally dropped on Paramount+, and while fans were eager to see the latest developments in the gripping storyline, many have been left feeling disappointed.

After the intense buildup from the previous episodes, fans were expecting Episode 4 to deliver substantial plot progression and character development. However, the episode's notably short runtime failed to satisfy their expectations.

In 'Mayor of Kingstown' Season 3 Episode 4, Mike McLusky (Jeremy Renner) finally meets Merle Callahan (Richard Brake), the formidable leader of the Aryan Brotherhood. However, despite this anticipated confrontation and the arrest of the man responsible for the bomb attack outside the Kingstown Police Department, it felt like the episode lacked substantial progress.

This confrontation had been building up for some time, and expected it to be a pivotal moment in the series. However, the scene felt confusing and rushed, and we could not understand what was happening. It was glossed over and the storyline was not adequately explored.

Another aspect is that the police arrested the man responsible for the bomb attack and were working to find out who ordered it. However, it was obvious that the mastermind behind the attack would be either Merle or Konstantin (Yorick van Wageningen). So, what's the point of the entire episode?

Social media platforms quickly became flooded with reactions from fans expressing their disappointment.

Fans have taken to social media platforms to express their frustration with 'Mayor of Kingstown' Season 3 Episode 4.

A fan wrote on Reddit, "Another short episode. This series has no business being 10 episodes. Last season was a joke with episode lengths, and this season is not much better."

A fan expressed disappointment on Reddit, saying, "Episodes too short. Will not watch every week. Advertising people, exert some pressure on the show's powers- that -be to make longer episodes next season. Geez."

Another fan wrote on Reddit, "This one was a little anticlimactic for me. Short episode and almost no development. It was good to see Kyle step up and get some recognition. But other than that we do we get? Robert killed a guy unnecessarily - big shock. The bombs were probably Aryans and or Konstantine but that's still unconfirmed and hasn't changed from last episode. I guess we learned that apparently Mike's house got blown? Did I misunderstand that or was he lying about not going there because it was bear hunting season? I definitely would have liked to see 10 mote minutes of that at least. I hope next week has some meat on it."

Another fan expressed their mixed feelings on Reddit, saying, "What is about Taylor Handley/Kyle Mclusky, is he a bad actor partly, or do I just hate his character."

Another fan wrote on X, "First of all Mayor of Kingstown is gypping us on the minutes. It’s a 40 min episode. WTF is that? Secondly, it’s so much going on I have to watch the episode twice. Maybe I’m just not smart enough."

A fan wrote on X, "People be sleeping on Mayor of Kingstown."

However, one fan expressed appreciation for the episode on Reddit, saying, "This episode was really good. I have no idea if Mike is playing possum or if he’s genuinely getting back to his roots and working in cahoots with the white supremacist. They do a really great job of depicting how each crime circuit utilizes the cards they have at their disposal. Take bunny’s crew knowing how the cops haven’t advanced and gone digital over the air waves and what started off as entertainment for bored fortified “kingpins” ended up being a chance opportunity to use as leverage later on."

Overall, the episode fell short of expectations because there was no significant progress made in the storyline. The various events and developments felt rushed and disjointed.
