ATLANTA, GEORGIA: 'Rhythm + Flow' is back on Netflix with Season 2 and a new set of judges are all set to grace the show.

Ludracis, Latto, and DJ Khaled will host the brand-new season of the dance show. 

However, fans are quite upset with the new panel and many fans on the internet expressed their disappointment about the same. 

R + F production team which includes John Legend as executive producer did not give any reason for the switch but they are excited especially for Latto.

Who are the new judges of 'Rhythm + Flow'? 

The production team promises the season will feature a powerhouse panel of judges, each with a distinct role in hip-hop culture. This time they are looking for contestants with unconventional stories.

Latto is a rapper who won Jermaine Dupri's 'The Rap Game' in 2016, a similar reality show, and then used the fandom to ignite her platinum-selling hip-hop career.

Christopher Brian Bridges also called Ludacris is an American actor and rapper. He has sold more than 17 million records in the US. He has even won Screen Actor Guild, Critic's Choice, MTV, and Grammy awards in his career.

Ludacris also released hit bangers like 'Southern Hospitality' and 'What's Your Fantasy'.

DJ Khaled needs no introduction, he is a Florida-based DJ, record producer, and executive. He won a Grammy for 'Best Melodic Rap Performance' for his rap 'Higher'.

Eminem will also join the panel as a guest judge from a surprise location.

Internet unhappy about new 'Rhythm + Flow' judges

However, the Internet seems quite upset with the new judges. In a TMZ post shared on Instagram, fans of the show expressed their dissatisfaction. 

One of them commented, "Who thinks any of them even use or know 'the rhythm method'? If you know what it is? Do you have a baby mama or are you one?"

Another mocked Latto, "WTF does Latto know about music with the one song she stole?"

Another trolled the judges and mentioned, "All sellouts. Khaled is the worst."

A fan wrote, "With that K gives me another reason not to watch."

Another stated how much better Season 1 was and wrote, "I liked the first one with Cardi B and D Smoke."



 

Who were the judges of 'Rhythm + Flow' Season 1?

'Rhythm + Flow' Season 1 aired on October 9, 2019. This was Netflix's first original music competition program.

Cardi B, Chance the Rapper and T.I were the much-loved judges of Season 1. 

Unsigned rappers competed against each other to win $250,000 as a grand prize. Several guest judges like Quavo, Snoop Dogg, Nipsey Hussle, Miguel, and Jhene Aiko also joined the panel.

Where is the 'Rhythm + Flow' Season 1 winner now?

D Smoke won 'Rhythm + Flow' Season 1. This bilingual Inglewood California rapper used dense flows, protest lyrics and even several instruments to rise above his competitors in the finals.

Cardi B praised D Smoke in the finals and said, "I see a star". D Smoke comes from a family of musicians as his mother is a piano instructor and a professional singer while her brother is an R&B singer who is signed to TDE, Kendrick Lamar's label.

D Smoke and his other brother Davon Farris already won the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers award for co-writing Jahiem's 2007 song 'Never'.

In 2020 he independently released his debut album Black Habits which earned nominations for Best Rap Music and Best New Artist at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards.

In 2023, he signed to Snoop Dogg's Death Row Records.

Where to watch 'Rhythm + Flow' Season 2?

'Rhythm + Flow' Season 2 was originally scheduled to air in 2021 but got postponed. Even though the date is still unknown, Netflix dropped a trailer featuring Latto, Ludracis, and DJ Khaled.
