POTOMAC, MARYLAND: The 'Real Housewives of Potomac' star Karen Huger recently survived a scary car accident. A representative for the Montgomery County Police Department told TMZ that Huger was driving in an 'aggressive manner' late at night on March 19 before crashing her luxurious 2017 Maserati in Maryland.
Although Huger was not arrested for speeding, she did receive multiple citations. A Reddit user recently shared a copy of the police report which revealed that Hunger was driving under the influence of alcohol. She would need to appear in court for the DUI charges. Hunger has been charged with driving way over the speed limit, and driving with a suspended registration, negligence and reckless driving. She has reportedly violated six traffic rules and needed to pay a fine of around $50 to $510.
The police officials shared with the outlet that Huger struck a median and a crosswalk sign at an intersection before colliding with a parking sign off the roadway. The reality star was alone in the car at the time of the accident and the airbag deployed which prevented her from sustaining any injuries.
The officials did not specify the Bravo star's exact speed at the time of the incident, but they did reveal that Huger had been going 'too fast for the conditions.' The crash was so severe that it badly damaged Huger's luxury vehicle and it no longer could be driven. The outlet reported that a tow truck was called to take it away. Although Huger was not arrested for speeding, she did receive multiple citations.
The Bravolebrity's accident reports sparked concerns among the viewers and they wondered if she was alright. An Instagram user commented, "Not the GRAND DAME. Prayers to her hope she’s." Karen Huger reflects on 'frightening experience'
Karen Huger issued a statement through TMZ after the horrifying car crash. The reality star shared with the outlet, "Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes during this very frightening experience." Huger claimed that she was still in shock from the accident but was grateful to be alive. Huger added, "With the passing of my Beloved Mother, Grief comes and goes in waves, and with Mothers Day approaching it has felt more like a tsunami."
She recalled the terrifying accident, "Last night I met a girlfriend for dinner, we talked and brought up some very emotionally sensitive topics. I was crying on my way home and saw a car heading right for me. I swerved to avoid the head-on collision, hit the divider and then a tree." Huger revealed that she was a bit hurt and bruised, adding, "I did receive citations, one of which was unrelated to the incident which is understandable, but what was most surprising is that the car that almost hit me just drove away!"
Karen concluded her statement by noting, "I would like to stress, it’s important to understand your emotional state when driving and may this be a reminder to all to use their seatbelts, my Mother may be my Guardian Angel but the seatbelt saved my life."

'RHOP' star Karen Huger enjoyed a vacation in Jamaica with her daughter, Rayvin Huger just before her scary accident. The reality star shared a video of her daughter and criticized her for not putting away her makeup products. Huger shared Rayvin with her husband, Raymond A Huger.
Alongside the video, the reality star wrote, "The disrespect my child @rayvinhuger hijacked all of her make up @maccosmetics while vacaying in Jamaica from her dear mother." Huger added, "Can we all say, share a little? I had no idea she was filming this."
