Is Karen Huger OK? 'RHOP' star gives her co-stars major health update while doing Pilates
POTOMAC, MARYLAND: Karen Huger, a prominent figure on 'The Real Housewives of Potomac', addresses a personal health concern in an upcoming episode airing on November 12. This sneak preview from Bravo's episode reveals that Karen approaches the topic with her unique flair and characteristic style, staying true to her distinctive persona as "The Grand Dame."
The 60-year-old claims she just had her heart checked out by physicians while taking a Pilates session with Mia Thornton, Ashley Darby, and Gizelle Bryant.
"I went for all of the tests, which would scare you," Karen says in the preview clip.
"MRI, calcium, EKG, stress test, blockage and what have you. I still choke up when I say it."
After a brief moment of reflection, the Bravo celebrity says, "I have five percent of calcium in my carotid arteries."
"But that is a number that cannot hurt me. It's not life-threatening," she says as her co-stars appear bewildered and frightened by her statement.
Gizelle, taken aback by the news, says, "So that's why we're here? Because you have a blockage?"
Karen, on the other hand, emphasizes, "It's not a blockage, it's a deposit."
In a confessional, the Grand Dame says, "The good news is I caught it in time and diet, and just being vigilant about my health will stop any more buildup."
Gizelle challenges Karen's earnestness in her confessional, "I don't even know what to equate that to," she says with a laugh.
"Five percent buildup in your heart, huh? Does that mean you need to clean your ears?" she asks sarcastically.
Karen Huger says she'd leave husband Ray if he acted like 'RHOP' co-star Juan Dixon
During BravoCon, Karen Huger from 'RHOP' shared her thoughts with Us Weekly about Juan and Robyn Dixon. She emphasized that if their situations were switched, Juan, a basketball coach and father of two, would find himself single.
"I’d be divorced. Yeah, it’d be over," she said. "It’d really, really, Ray. No." She said.
After denying the adultery suspicions around Juan and her, Robyn finally confirmed the affair on her subscription-based podcast with Gizelle Bryant.
"How dare she think she could just lie to the group and tell a few people in the group and not share it with the world," Karen blurted out. "The viewers deserve that information."
Robyn went on Andy Cohen's 'Watch What Happens Live' after the reunion to answer everyone's burning concerns regarding Juan's 'run-in' with this Canadian girl.
When Andy asked Robyn why she didn't bring it up throughout the season, she said she was waiting for Karen to bring it up.
“It was not her place to do that. She has so much to say about me, but she needs me,” Karen added. “She should have called me privately. I would’ve held her down. I would’ve rode for her if she just was honest, but she was lying. So I still feel that today, and you’ll see that. But [I do] wish her well.”
Robyn Dixon claims Karen Huger is 'obsessed' with her at BravoCon 2023
At BravoCon 2023, a preview of Season 8 added fuel to the fire when Karen Huger awkwardly used a pie metaphor to criticize Robyn's secrecy in the prior season.
Karen's explanation, intended to clarify her stance, failed to defuse the situation. This led Robyn to mockly tell the audience, "She makes no sense, y'all."
Despite this, Karen was not ready to back down.
She challenged Robyn immediately, saying, “No, Robyn, the sense was: You lied all seventh season, holding up the story. And then you called my name on Andy Cohen’s show [Watch What Happens Live], like, ‘I waited for Karen to out it!’ No honey, you out it, that’s your life. Let’s be clear: We worked through it, and there was a great conversation between Robyn and me; we banter back and forth. But the only person on this platform that makes no f**king sense is Robyn Dixon.”
Robyn's rebuttal to Karen's claim was short and to the point and had the audience divided.
“She is so obsessed with me, y’all. She is extremely obsessed with me, and you will see it in Season 8.” Robyn yelped.
Karen Huger gives major career update at BravoCon 2023
Karen was obviously moved by the outpouring of support for her business endeavors. When asked about them, she shared some thrilling updates, expressing her heartfelt thanks for the success of her La'Dame brand. "It really is killing it. I really appreciate you guys," she said, acknowledging the support of her fans and followers.
After that, Karen gave some information on her candle line, namely the four-wick models that the company website claims will deliver "90 hours of luxurious, sensual burning time."
Karen stated, "The four-wick is out, [but] it is not here today," adding that the candles are still available on her website. "I'll let you know if I'm going to do five wicks," she continued.
Karen changed her focus from candles to a second passion project that involved her ancestry.
"You guys know I own the slave plantation I'm from, right?" she said at BravoCon 2023. "So, I bought my grandmother's estate," she said. "And I'm turning that into a guest house, the Grand Dame."
