LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Andy Cohen reportedly has no plans of leaving Bravo. The 'Watch What Happens Live' host and 'Real Housewives' executive producer recently sparked exit speculations after a report of Andy leaving the network swirled around.
A source recently shared with InTouch that Andy was negotiating an exit package to leave Bravo. The source claimed, "Negotiations for Cohen’s departure package are underway as he grapples with the fallout from mounting accusations by his stars." Andy has been facing multiple serious accusations and lawsuits. Leah McSweeney is the latest housewife to sue the network and Andy.
Despite the legal troubles, Andy remained fans' favourite and received support from the internet. Social media users were left furious and disappointed after Andy's exit rumors swirled around the internet. An Instagram user commented, "The end of Andy would be the end of housewives. With all this recasting of housewives, I think we’re coming to the end of an era."
Another person added, "Bravo will fail without him." Another critic noted, "Um, can we not? Can we leave just ONE f*cking thing alone? Andy IS Bravo. Without him I’m sure it’ll all crumble and then what trash TV will we be watching?? What??? I ask you!" Another internet user penned, "I will no longer watch bravo if Andy isn’t hosting reunions."
Another social media user claimed, "No BRAVO without Andy." Another fan stated, "We need Andy Cohen to stay!! The shows will never be the same without him!!" Another follower noted, "Doubtful..he's the face of the housewives reunions."
Bravo addresses Andy Cohen's exit rumor
Bravo's spokesperson has recently addressed Andy Cohen's exit rumor. They debunked any 'such notion as patently false'. According to TMZ, the spokesperson claimed, "There is absolutely no truth to the rumor Andy's negotiating an exit from the network."
The spokesperson further claimed to the outlet also reported that "the report that cited an anonymous source to run their headline was way off base, and that none of the info that got published was accurate." Andy's departure rumors came after Leah McSweeney filed a lawsuit against the Bravo host.
Leah's lawsuit alleged that Andy and the entire network fostered a, 'rotted' workplace culture and that he and other producers constantly encouraged them to imbibe alcohol while filming. The Bravo star further alleged that cocaine use was rampant on the network. 'RHONJ' star Caroline Manzo also sued Bravo and claimed production plied the cast of 'Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip' with alcohol as they filmed the spin-off in Morocco in January 2023.
Brandi Glanville accuses Andy Cohen of harassment
The 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star Brandi Glanville recently accused Andy Cohen of harassment and the Bravo host responded with an apology. Brandi recently sent a letter to NBCUniversal (Bravo's parent company), Warner Bros, and production company Shed Media through her attorneys.
In the letter, Brandi claimed that Andy sent her an inappropriate recording back in 2022. The letter reads, "In a video sent by Mr Cohen to Ms Glanville in 2022, Mr Cohen, appearing obviously inebriated, boasted of his intention to sleep with another Bravo star that night while thinking of her and invited her to watch via Facetime.
However, Andy soon issued an apology after the harassment accusation. He took to X (formerly Twitter) in February and wrote, "The video shows Kate Chastain and I very clearly joking to Brandi. It was absolutely meant in jest, and Brandi’s response clearly communicated she was in on the joke. That said, it was totally inappropriate and I apologize."
Will there be 2024 BravoCon?
Bravo star Andy Cohen recently made a shocking announcement about the 2024 BravoCon. He claimed that there will be no BravoCon in 2024. However, the 'Real Housewives' host gave hope to the fans and announced the 2025 schedule. The convention will be held at the massive event space Caesars Forum in Los Vegas.
However, there will be smaller gatherings 'Watch Party by Bravo' for fans throughout the year. The network has described the events for "Bravoholics to get up close and personal with their favorite Bravo stars and celebrate their passionate fandom."
