‘RHOBH’ alum Brandi Glanville accuses Bravo host Andy Cohen of sexual harassment
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: 'RHOBH' alum Brandi Glanville filed a lawsuit against Bravo and Andy Cohen for sexual harassment. In a letter addressed to NBC, Glanville's attorneys allege that Cohen bragged about wanting to "sleep with another Bravo star" while contemplating Glanville. Additionally, he reportedly invited her to witness a sexual act via FaceTime.
The letter emphasizes that this incident isn't isolated, stating Glanville has faced mistreatment by NBC, Bravo, Warner Bros., and Shed Media multiple times. These accusations against Cohen arise within a larger context where, according to her attorneys, Glanville has been consistently exploited by these media entities, impacting her personally, professionally, financially, and in the public eye.
The letter revealed, "Mr Cohen was Ms Glanville’s boss at the time and exercised complete control over her career. This extraordinary abuse of power left Ms Glanville feeling trapped and disgusted," the letter read, as reported by Hollywood reporter.
Another letter from TMZ stated, "Over the past year, Ms Glanville has faced a vicious media campaign with false sexual misconduct allegations, stemming from 'Ultimate Girls Trip: Morocco.'"
While the experience has been a nightmare for Ms. Glanville, it is far from the first time Ms Glanville has been used and abused by NBC, Bravo, Warner Bros., and Shed Media. Indeed, Ms Glanville has long been taken advantage of by the institutions with which she is indelibly tied personally, professionally, financially, and in the public mind," it added.
In response to Glanville's accusations of sexual harassment, Cohen stated that Glanville was "in on the joke." However, he acknowledged that the situation was inappropriate and expressed regret for it.
It's worth noting that Glanville's lawsuit against Cohen follows a separate legal action brought by fellow Bravo star Caroline Manzo. Manzo claimed she was sexually abused and harassed by Glanville during the filming of 'The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip'.
When did Brandi Glanville leave ‘RHOBH’?
Brandi Glanville departed the Bravo franchise after season five in 2015. Initially joining 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' in season two as a "friend," she later became a full-time cast member in season three. From the start, Brandi's clashes with other Housewives painted a less-than-friendly image on the show. After season five, it was announced that both Kim Richards and Brandi Glanville would not return as full-time cast members in season six.
Why did Caroline Manzo accuse Brandi Glanville of sexual misconduct?
Caroline Manzo has filed a lawsuit against Bravo, alleging sexual abuse and harassment by Brandi Glanville during filming for The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. In the New York state Supreme Court filing, Manzo claims Glanville forcibly kissed her and engaged in inappropriate touching without consent.
Manzo asserts producers were aware, listening to audio, but took no action to intervene or prevent the assault. Having previously experienced sexual assault, Manzo disclosed details the next morning to her family and production heads, describing it as an abusive encounter.
Did Brandi Glanville hookup with Denise Richards?
Brandi Glanville confessed to allegedly having a relationship with Denise Richards while Denise was married to Aaron Phypers. Glanville claimed the alleged affair continued when Denise invited her to Northern California for a podcast recording. During the visit, Denise insisted Glanville stay in her room due to a lack of additional beds. Glanville recounted that after a night of fun, heavy drinking led to them hooking up on the second night. Glanville shared these details during an episode of RHOBH with Kyle Richards and Teddi Mellencamp, providing insight into the circumstances of her alleged hookup with Denise.
