Caroline Manzo sues Bravo amid sexual harassment
Bravo star Caroline Manzo filed a lawsuit against Bravo on January 26 in New York after Brandi Glanville sexually harassed her allegedly at the direction of the producer. Caroline claimed in the lawsuit that Brandi visited her rental home during the filming of an episode, where she attempted to forcefully kiss her and groped her private parts without consent.
According to Variety, the showrunners and producers allegedly encouraged Brandi to consume alcohol on set to increase the likelihood of her engaging in outrageous and harassing behavior. This purportedly aimed to boost the Defendants' ratings without consideration for the rights and safety of those involved.
Caroline also slammed NBCUniversal in the lawsuit for hiring Brandi for ratings despite knowing her past sexual harassing conduct. Caroline later described the incident as "triggering trauma," referring to her past childhood sexual assault.
Why was Brandi Glanville fired from Bravo?
Brandi Glanville was fired in February 2023 from Bravo after her alleged sexual harassment against Caroline Manzo. However, she denied the accusation and her representatives stated at the time noting, "While filming, Brandi followed what the producers asked of her, and there was no sexual assault."
Brandi also shared her side of the story and tweeted, "I can speak on anything I want to speak on-it was at the end of an 18 hour Wrk day at our belly dancing party & I'd like to see footage on it beforehand as both myself & Caroline were very intoxicated."
