What happened in 'Married At First Sight' Season 17 Episode 17?

Brennan Shoykhet and Emily Balch have grown closer than ever following the scary accident involving the 'MAFS' star. The ordeal has prompted the couple to re-evaluate their relationship from fresh perspectives. Meanwhile, newlyweds Michael Shiakallis and Chloe Brown are focused on fortifying their bond as they approach one of the most pivotal decisions of their lives.

During Emily's hospitalization for her head injury, Brennan remained by her side, expressing his concern and admitting to "just praying and hoping everything’s okay" as she underwent surgery. On the other hand, Becca continues to struggle with connecting romantically with her husband, especially after the couple slept in separate rooms. In a candid moment, Becca voiced her feelings to Austin, expressing that "It doesn't feel good to have to beg to be wanted." Austin, in turn, responded, "I was hoping tonight would end on a good note, and I feel like that’s not happening."

On the flip side, Orion Martzloff made an effort to rekindle his connection with his ex-wife Lauren G, but she seemed less than enthusiastic. Orion expressed his desire to rebuild their bond, telling Lauren, "I would really like to build a bridge because I am missing our connection." However, Lauren remained skeptical and bluntly stated, "This is some bulls**t," indicating her lack of belief in Orion's intentions.
