DENVER, COLORADO: 'Married At First Sight' Season 17 pairs Michael Shiakallis and Chloe Brown, Emily Balch and Brennan Shoykhet, and Austin R and Becca Haley came together for a couples' retreat. Surprisingly, Lauren G and Orion Martzloff, who recently got divorced, were also at the fancy mansion in Foxfield, Colorado, for an unforgettable getaway.

Chloe shared that she invited Orion and Lauren to the couples' retreat and asked them not to create any drama. However, Orion assured Chloe about their relationship and admitted that he felt good after he had a conversation with Lauren during Michael's wedding.

Orion wanted to start a friendship with his ex-wife but Lauren seemed to have no interest in keeping any relationship with him. Meanwhile, the viewers were left furious over the continuous appearance of Lauren and Orion despite their messy divorce. They also claimed that the 'MAFS' production is pushing Lauren and Orion's relationship.

A social media user tweeted, "The producers are in desperation mode at this point, cause why are these people still on the show?"

Another person added, "Production probably thinks having Lauren and Orion on the couples retreat is gonna give us some entertainment but it’s just drawing this draining situation out longer."

A critic noted, "Why are the non couples coming on the couples trip? Production had nothing to give us this season. #mafs #MarriedAtFirstSight absolutely no reason for Clare, Orion, and Lauren to be there."

Another X user penned, "Why are Lauren, Orion, and Claire even there? Like those marriages are over. It’s ridiculous."

Another viewer noted, "Why are Orion and Lauren on the couples retreat? He and Lauren are not a couple. Clare is not with anyone either. This is a group retreat. Not couples. This makes no sense. #MAFS trying too hard to make this season work."

Lauren G slams Orion Martzloff for being 'fake'

Lauren G and Orion Martzloff joined other 'MAFS' Season 17 couples for a drink and dinner. During the conversation, Orion told his co-stars that he and Lauren were taking a new step in their relationship.

He said, "I know that Lauren and I aren't at the same level as other couples, other people." Orion elaborated, "But, with that being said, ultimately yeah, I feel very proud about where we both are at."

'MAFS' star further noted, "But, I am looking to really to kinda [sic] just turn the page on everything that's happened and honestly really try and open up a different narrative."

However, Lauren expressed skepticism, stating that she didn't believe Orion was being sincere in his words. In a confessional, she elaborated, "I'm reluctant to engage in conversation with him because I've grown weary of being disappointed by conversations with Orion."

She added, "When he brings things up in group settings, it doesn't seem authentic. It doesn't seem real. It feels like it's more to save face in front of our friends."

Why did Orion Martzloff demand a divorce from Lauren G?

'MAFS' Season 17 star Orion Martzloff demanded a divorce from Lauren G in the previous episode. He claimed during a therapy session that he no longer wanted to be with Lauren following their disagreements about intimacy.

He explained, "It's just with everything that happened, everything that took place, I lost all romantic interest." Lauren also opened up about her role in their marriage struggles.

She admitted, "I feel so horrible that I've put you in the predicament of losing romantic attraction to me because, through this, I have maintained my romantic attraction to you."

Lauren added, "But if you don't feel like you have it in you to do it, I don't want to twist your arm. I don't want to force you to stay with me."
