DENVER, COLORADO: In a recent episode of 'Married At First Sight' Season 17, Austin R expressed concerns about his cat allergy, affecting his lungs and hindering intimacy with wife Becca Haley. He cited health reasons for abstaining from sex, raising questions among viewers who speculated on the authenticity of his explanation. The couple had previously been advised by therapists to work on their physical connection. Austin's reluctance to engage in intimacy on camera added to the complexities of their relationship.

A social media user wrote, "I am NOT buying any of #Austin’s excuses (ie cat allergies) for his lack of sex drive." Another critic noted, "Austin is making up too many excuses not to have sex with Becca!" Another internet user penned, "Austin’s list of reasons to not have sex lol. It was dark out, it was light out, you were breathing, wtf..."

Another viewer said, "I want to hear from the men on this. Would a cat allergy stop you from having sex if a woman is throwing it at you? It seems ridiculous to me but maybe I am wrong." Another person noted, "He’s saying he’s allergic to cats! So maybe she need to take the hint."

Becca Haley admits to struggling with the lack of intimacy

'MAFS' Season 17 star Becca Haley opens up about her challenges with the lack of intimacy in her marriage to Austin R. Becca expresses concern about running "out of avenues" to ignite a romantic connection.  In a heartfelt confessional, Becca admitted, "I know Austin means well, and I know he is committed to me. But it's difficult when you continue to initiate things and then continue to face rejection." She added, "I'm running out of ideas." Becca further noted, "I'm running out of ways for us to connect that do separate us from a friendship, from a romantic relationship, that are in ways that he's comfortable that still fulfill my needs." She added, "It feels like we're running out of avenues."

Austin R finds it 'hard' to connect with Becca Haley physically

Austin R recently opened up about his intimacy issues. In the latest episode, Becca Haley highlighted an exercise that Dr Pia recommended and shared that she believed "foreplay throughout the day, like flirting and stuff" would be "really important" to make their marriage stronger.

However, Austin claimed that he found it hard to connect physically with Becca and said, "It's hard. It's hard to fit it all in." He added, "As long as progress is being made, like, that is something to appreciate." When Austin asked about her take on the matter, Becca revealed that she was leaving matters up to her husband. She said, "[I'm] kind of putting everything in your court for that, you know?"
