New Amsterdam is a medical drama television series, based on the book Twelve Patients: Life and Death at Bellevue Hospital that premiered on September 25, 2018 on NBC. The series was created by David Schulner and stars Ryan Eggold, Freema Agyeman, Janet Montgomery, Jocko Sims, Anupam Kher, and Tyler Labine. In March 2022, it was announced that the series will end after a 13-episode fifth season. The fifth and final season is set to premiere on September 20, 2022.
