'New Amsterdam' Season 3: Will Evie get back with Floyd Reynolds? Jocko Sims says we haven't seen last of her
Dr Floyd Reynolds had to pay quite a price to return to 'New Amsterdam', with his engagement to Evie (Margot Bingham) being called off. To add insult to injury, he was hardly given a warm welcome on his first day back. In fact, Max (Ryan Eggold), who was busy arranging to get his daughter Luna home, forgot to even inform anyone that Dr Reynolds was returning.
Jocko Sims who plays Dr Reynolds, however, loved exploring a new side to the normally, extremely confident character. Sims in a recent interview with TV Insider said, "(That) was an awkward episode for Reynolds, which is just fantastic. It’s fun having him attempt to find his footing. It’s great to see him fumble a little bit.”

Far from being apologetic about Reynolds' terrible first day, which is largely his fault, Max simply bursts out laughing. It seems both Floyd and Max could do with some lighthearted moments, especially Floyd who feels that he's now hit rock bottom professionally and personally. While we are sure Max will help Floyd get back on his feet professionally, we're guessing that Floyd's love life isn't going to stay dull for too long. Fans are already hoping that Dr Reynolds and Dr Bloom (Janet Montgomery) rekindle their romance, now that they're in the same city.
One fan on YouTube said, "Am I the only one who hopes Reynolds should get together with Bloom?? Am silently shipping them." This fan is definitely NOT the only one. Another fan on Instagram said, "Can we please acknowledge how handsome Jacko Sims is??😍 and they really need to give us Reynolds and Bloom."
But things may not be quite so simple for Bloom and Reynolds. Sims has some news for fans. Continuing his interview with TV Insider, Sims said, "you haven’t seen the last of Evie." He also goes on to promise "ups and downs" in that relationship. But if you're a Reynolds Bloom fan, Sims has some news in that area as well. "It gets really interesting with Reynolds in the love department further down the line." Sounds like Max, Helen (Freema Agyeman) and Cassian (Daniel Dae Kim) aren't the only love triangle on the hospital floor.
