The wrestler-turned-actor known for his role in 'Guardians of the Galaxy', previously hinted at a collaboration with Gunn by posting a photo of the director's parking lot, fueling speculation.
Furthermore, considering the physical qualities of the character, enthusiasts believe Bautista fits the bill.

Co-CEO of DC Studios, James Gunn disclosed a reboot of the DC Universe.
According to Forbes, Gunn made it clear that the new DCU would see the light of day in 2024, with superhero films focused on their characters and stories instead of presenting larger-than-life shared-world features.
The DC Universe will enter a new age with the release of 'Joker: Folie à Deux' on October 4, 2024, followed by 'Superman: Legacy' in 2025.
