LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Marvel is set to bid farewell to the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ with the third and final movie in the franchise that will conclude the story of the current team. However, that doesn’t mean every character will die in the upcoming movie, although some surely will meet their ends. Despite being the last movie in the current ‘Guardians' franchise, 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3' will introduce two new characters in the movie that might play an important role in future MCU projects.

The movie wrapped filming in May 2022 and director James Gunn confirmed that the third ‘GOTG’ movie will be the final installment of the franchise. The trailers seemed to confirm the same that “it’s time to face the music” for the Guardians who are set to take the fight to their enemies. Fans are really worried about Rocket Racoon and feel that the character might become a major casualty in the movie.

The first wave of reactions has called it a “brilliant end to a brilliant trilogy” and fans cannot wait to see the movie on the biggest screen possible. Let’s take a look at the plot of the final ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and how it ends a trilogy that will be remembered for years to come.

What is the plot of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3’?

The official synopsis for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3’ states Peter Quill is “still reeling from the loss of Gamora” which took place in 2018’s ‘Avengers: Infinity War’. However, he should come to his senses and “rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own.” If they are unable to accomplish this mission, it “could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.”

Marvel has kept all the other details under wraps because it’s the final movie with the current team and they wouldn’t want to spoil the movie for viewers.

Who stars in 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3'?

'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3' stars Chris Pratt as Star-Lord/Peter Quill, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket and Sean Gunn as Kraglin Obfonteri.
