'Joker: Folie à Deux': Set pics tease return of a popular comic character who will stir up the plot
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The second part to the Academy Award winning, 2019 movie 'Joker', is currently under works. Titled as 'Joker: Folie à Deux', the upcoming sequel is set to be a musical. While fans are waiting for the movie to drop, the recent detail from the set picture has led to heavy specualtions that one of the most popular characters from the comic book, Harvey Dent, populary known as Two-Face is set to appear in the upcoming musical. As James Gunn has already confirmed, the 'Joker' movie is set in a separate universe.
The movie is written by Todd Phillips and Scott Silver while the former also directed the movie. Apart from Joaquin Phoenix returning as Arthur Fleck, 'Joker: Folie à Deux' will introduce Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn. The movie is also set to feature Zazie Beetz, Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Harry Lawtey, Jacob Lofland, Gattlin Griffith, George Carroll and Troy Metcalf.

'Harvey Dent is a Clown'
In recently released set photos, fans got a glimpse of Lady Gaga in her iconic red-colored suit as Harley Quinn. However, eagle-eyed fans got a glimpse of one of the most iconic comic characters with the clue from the picture. While the picture shows a swarm of protestors holding up slogans like 'Free Joker' and 'Joker for President', there is also a poster seen with a slogan 'Harvey Dent is a Clown'. This has sparked a wild speculation whether Harvey Dent, also known as Two-Face is going to appear in the upcoming movie, 'Joker: Folie à Deux'.
Who is Harvey Dent?
Harvey is one of the most prominent figures in the Gotham city and he is a person with a complex character in the comics. From an early age, Harvey has had several traumatic experiences. When he was a child, Harvey accidentaly killed his older brother Murray. Harvey's mother commited suicide afterward leading Harvey to live with his alcoholic and abusive father.
However, Harvey then became the District Attorney in Gotham city and was one of the allys of Batman before he was attacked by acid, leading severe damage to his left side. This disfigurement of his body has led him to affect his mental state, eventually leading him to become a criminal masterminf and creating a new personna named 'Two-Face'. He was involved in several illegal activities, from robbery to blackmailing the US Government, eventually becoming an enemy to Batman.
Some of the notable characteristics of Two-Face is his obsession over the number 2. Two-Face also uses a two-headed coin everytime before he comits a crime. Another interesting fact about Harvey is that he has a weird recurring and complicated relationship with Joker. They both betrayed each other, which ended them in Arkham prison. However, after learning from their mistakes, they team-up together. So, it would be interesting to see the dynamics between the two antagonists in the upcoming movie.

Moreover, whenever there is Gotham City, there is always Two-Face. Two-Face has appeared in almost every Batman creation, be it a feature length film or an animated series. So, it is safe to say that their are high possibilities of Harvey appearing in the upcoming 'Joker: Folie à Deux'. However, we should wait for the official announcement to know further details.
'Joker: Folie à Deux' is set to release exclusively in theatres on October 4, 2024.
