BRENTWOOD, CALIFORNIA: Fans of 'American Idol' are amazed after Nutsa Buzaladze was booted in a double elimination alongside Lucy Love. They celebrated Nutsa 'finally' departing the competition after being slammed by judge Katy Perry only weeks before.

Nutsa was spared by the judges on last week's episode of 'American Idol' on ABC with Lucy and proceeded to the show's Top 12 along with ten other singers. "We're nuts for Nutsa!" Luke Bryan and Katy screamed simultaneously as they shared Nutsa's progress. Nutsa, who had previously been singled out by Katy for her usage of glitter, was stunned and went to her knees in amazement. She then stood up and hugged the other competitors. Show host Ryan Seacrest informed her that she had not been voted into the Top 12 by the crowd and would have to perform to win one of the judges' two saves in order to advance.

Nutsa sticks to her own song after Adam asks her to drop it

Last week, Nutsa needed to be saved. She stated on Sunday's episode that her favorite musician is this week's mentor, Adam Lambert. Adam remarked, "You love these big diva songs, don't you?" He advised her to select a song that portrays her more vulnerable side. Adam was kind, but he also voiced the criticisms that others had for her. She ought to have studied Adam's corpus of work. He gave impressive performances but did so with nuance. She ultimately remained with the song she had chosen, complete with huge big notes and pageant queen stage demeanor. She didn't change the song, but she did try to accept Adam's advice by singing in "more angelic notes," as he suggested that it may be more intriguing if she chose a different song to tone things down.

Katy said, “Don’t change! I think you took what Adam said to heart…the word nuts is in your name!” Luke said, “You got to fight every day…and that’s what you do. You make all eyes in the room go on you.” Lionel Richie said, “You are a star…you’ve made it.”

'Nutsa just ignoring the inputs shes given'

Seeing Nutsa turn down Adam's advice and stick to her song choice, a viewer tweeted, "Nutsa needs to learn to take advice and use it. She comes across as arrogant like she is already the greatest singer who doesn’t need the advice." Another chimed in, "Expert Adam Lambert coached Nutsa. She partially listened #americanidol take it down a notch." Another person added, "Go Nutsa. When Adam Lambert tells u to tone it down then ur overdoing it." One fan also felt, "She might be a good technical singer, but Nutsa doesn't connect with the audience!"

On Reddit, fans had the same complaints. One wrote, "Nutsa just ignoring the inputs shes given. America wont connect." Calling her a decent performer, one person added, "Nutsa should have been cut. She isn’t worthy to be in this competition. Sorry. She’s a decent performer and she over sings. She’s a cruise singer. The ship has sailed."

'American Idol' Season 21 airs every Sunday and Monday at 8 pm ET on ABC.
