Lucy Love receives praise from 'American Idol' judges

Lucy took the risk and give a slow spin to Lionel's song, 'All Night Long'. Mentor Adam suggested to nervous Lucy, "You're thinking too much." Adam added that she needs to have 'breezy fun party vibes'. The judges praised Lucy's performance. Luke said, "I am so glad we brought you back. You showed us so much character... unique to you." Luke added that he loved her runs. Katy complimented, "You put your stump on them." She added, "You have such an artistic style. You bodied that song. Trust in your voice." Meanwhile, Lionel gushed, "You took my song, and made it your song. Crazy good." However, Lucy then ended her segment with a heartfelt 'thank you' to Lionel who save her in the previous round. Lucy's children were in the audience and her daughter started crying when the Host Ryan Seacrest brings her to the stage.

'Producers are pushing the sympathy votes with Lucy's kid'

Lucy brings her children, a son, and a daughter during the recent episode of 'American Idol'. Additionally, Lucy holds her daughter after she finished singing. However, viewers think that Lucy used them just for the votes. During a live discussion on Reddit, a user noted, "Lucy all smiley and holding her baby was definitely done to counteract the criticism last week about her off-putting tough girl demeanor." Another Reddit user commented, "Lucy desperately trying to get votes." "She didn't choose that, a producer did it," added another person. Another viewer said, "Producers are pushing the sympathy votes with Lucy's kid lol." A Twitter user wrote, "Why the baby seriously #americanidol she deserves to go home and u are seriously using this."

'American Idol' Season 21 airs every Sunday and Monday at 8 pm ET on ABC.
