BRENTWOOD, CALIFORNIA: In the aftermath of her judging duties, Katy Perry has encouraged fans to watch the ABC show. On the evening of April 29, 2023, the 'American Idol' judge appeared on the show's official Instagram Stories.

Just because something is over doesn't mean it's truly over and Katy just can't seem to get a break. 'American Idol' viewers are once again mocking the singer for being "unprofessional" and nasty, while also requesting that she be replaced as a judge. Producers of the famous US talent show 'American Idol' are reportedly "rattled" by Katy's attitude as a judge. Fans have been outraged by Katy's statements to contestants this season, and many have taken to social media to criticize the 'Firework' singer.

Katy urges fans to tune in to the show

On the official 'American Idol' Instagram, a video of Katy was posted via Instagram Stories. In the video, she addressed the camera as she invited viewers to see the show. Katy talked to the camera about the forthcoming episode and encouraged fans to tune in. Her beautiful dark hair was down in shining curls and she wore a full face of stunning makeup. She accessorized with a set of dangling glittering earrings and donned a statement denim dress with a thin velvet scarf.

"Guys, tune in, don't miss it!" said the 'Idol' judge. "We're going to be live coast to coast, and we're going to have our special guest, Adam Lambert. He's going to be here for Rock," she added.

The TV personality's request comes in the wake of fans' criticism of her activities and behavior on the show. Katy has been croiticized for her treatment of the contestants, with some viewers even asking that she be replaced.

'Need new judges'

In an online Reddit thread, fans speculated about who they thought might be a good replacement for Katy on the show. One person suggested, "I would love to see Carrie Underwood come back to judge. She’s talented, has been there before, and has a lot of experiences under her belt since first being on the show. She’s also faced the wrath of the old judging style and hopefully remembers how helpful it could be to get honest opinions. If allowed free reign to give constructive criticism, I think she might have a lot to offer."

While another added, "Has anyone ever asked Pink if she'd do any of these shows? I just think she'd be amazing, both able to give good helpful feedback while also being kind about it. She has so much multigenre experience too, she seems like a given!"

One fan simply wants the 'Roar' singer gone as they wrote, "Katy needs to go. She’s always climbing on the table, running around, making a spectacle. Me me me. Etc. Like, it’s not about you, lady."

OG fans are missing their old judges as one said, "I honestly liked the panel of Randy, JLo and Steven Tyler from the end of the fox era 😂."

Speaking of replacement, one advised, "Harry Connick Jr and Adam Lambert and Jennifer Hudson" will make for a great new panel. One fan expressed, "Luke does better in the lives. Katy is the worst during the auditions. Lionel is great at both."

Another wrote, "I wish JLo, Harry, and Keith could come back. All three of them seemed invested in each season and the contestants, and I thought they had good chemistry together. Harry kept me laughing. I liked when he would torment JLo. And poor Keith was always crying. JLo gave good advice as long as it wasn't a female contestant she felt threatened by 😶."

One suggested, "Demi Lovato, Bon Jovi, Adam Lambert and Lionel Richie." Fans in conclusion want, "Judges who actually critique."

'American Idol' Season 21 airs every Sunday and Monday at 8 pm ET on ABC.
