The 'American Idol' fans were at the edge of their seats waiting with bated breath to see who the judges would save from elimination and put them through to the Top 14 round. Considering some fan-favorite contestants like Sage, Jacob Moran, Katyrah Love, Cadence Baker, etc were at the risk of getting eliminated, the stakes were pretty high.

After some careful deliberation, the judges- Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie, decided to save Mike Parker and put him through to the Top 14 round. They also saved Jay Copeland, Allegra Miles, and Tristen Gressett from elimination. Though Mike was ecstatic over getting another chance to showcase his vocal prowess on the show, fans weren't pleased. Several fans took to Twitter to slam the judges' decision to save Mike instead of some other contestant.

A fan tweeted, "@AmericanIdol Have the judges lost their mind, or are they watching a different show than the rest of us? No way should Mike have made the top 14, he was one of the two worst in the top 20! The last pick for the judges 4 saves should’ve been either cadence, Jacob or Katyrah." "MIKE??????????? HAVE THEY LOST THEIR MF'IN MINDS #AmericanIdol," wondered a shocked fan. "Why THE F*** did they save Mike Parker 1. He’s not even country. 2. He sucks. 3. Everyone else on that stage did 10X better than he ever has. I’m done with #AmericanIdol Like didn’t we get any better after the Wade Cota sh*t," declared a disgruntled fan.
