Katyrah Love is booted from 'American Idol' Season 20, fans feel 'absolutely gutted'
Despite receiving standing ovations from the judges after her performances and being compared to Whitney Houston, 'American Idol' Season 20 contestant Katyrah Love, found herself being shown the door after failing to make it to the Top 14. The 23-year-old singer from Baltimore joined ABC's singing competition show with the hopes of making it big in the music industry, but sadly her journey was cut short after the judges failed to save her.
For her top 20 performance, Katyrah chose to sing 'Dream', and the judges couldn't get enough of her. So, when Katyrah's name was announced as one of the participants in the danger zone who would have to fight for a save from the judges to continue her stint in the singing competition show, fans were shocked. In spite of receiving the shocking news, Katyrah still managed to put on an amazing performance to earn her spot in the top 14. Sadly, the judges decided to pass up on her and instead saved platinum ticket holder Jay Copeland, Allegra Miles, Tristen Gressett, and Mike Parker, among the ten singers from the danger zone.
