Allegra Miles' performance to Tom Petty's 'Free Fallin' may have failed to impress the 'American Idol' audience, but it seems to have made a strong impression on the judges. After she performed the hit number for her top 20 performance, the judges, especially Katy Perry couldn't stop singing praises of Allegra's vocals.

So, when the show's host Ryan Seacrest announced on the recently aired episode of 'American Idol' that Allegra failed to amass enough votes from the audience to secure a spot amongst the Top 14, the judges were shocked. But Allegra wasn't ready to leave without putting up a strong fight, so she gave another performance in a bid to earn the judges' vote to continue her stint on the show. Luckily, for her the judges' loved her performance again, and decided to save her from the 'danger zone' and put her amongst the top 14 contestants. Though the judges loved Allegra's vocals, sadly fans didn't share the same feeling and slammed the judges for saving her from elimination.
