'You made a mistake': 'The Voice' fans slam Gwen Stefani's decision to send Cara Brinsidi home after knockouts
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: For the first time ever in the history of 'The Voice', it's not just the artists who are under tremendous pressure to give their best, but also the celebrity coaches, all thanks to the newly introduced 'The Knockouts' round. The three-way knockouts round features three talented artists from the same team competing against each other with a song of their choice. While the winner gets to retain their spot on the coach's team, the losers are immediately sent home. So. when Gwen Stefani decided to pair three of her exceptionally talented team members- Justin Aaron, Cara Brindisi, and Kayla Von Der Heide, little did she realize the trouble she was inviting upon herself.
Needless to say, all three artists gave their best performance, leaving not just Gwen but also her fellow celebrity coaches- John Legend and Camila Cabello, spoilt for choice and unable to pick a winner. Thankfully for Gwen, her husband/ OG coach Blake Shelton helped her out a bit by picking Justin Aaron as his winner after listening to his moving rendition of Tevin Campbell's 'Can We Talk'. So, when it was finally time for Gwen to pick the winner of the knockout round, the 'Hollaback Girl' singer took her husband's advice and picked Justin as the winner. Unfortunately for Gwen, 'The Voice' fans were unhappy with her decision to pick Justin over Cara as the winner of the round.
