Who is Cara Brindisi?
Cara Brindisi is a 34-year-old music therapist. From a young age, the singer was close to her grandfather, who suffered from Alzheimer's disease. The singer from Western Masscechussets connected with music over her bond with him. She works as a full time, cerified music therapist and has her own clients.
Her work in music therapy is what led Cara to pursue adutioning for ‘The Voice’ Season 22. She works with many kids and her clients were the ones to motivate her to audiotion. She recalled that they were there with her on the audition, motivating her. Cara hoped to get Blake as a coach after watching him on the show.

For her audition, the music therapist chose none other than the country turned pop artist Taylor Swift’s song, ‘All Too Well’. But Cara gave it her own spin with strong country vocals. Her breathtaking performance caused Blake to turn, followed by his wife Gwen. Blake was impressed to a level where he even praised her saying after her performance, he heard something he hadn’t heard the entire season. Gwen competed with her pitch stating that it doesn’t matter about the difference in genre but the heart a singer puts in their song. And since Cara loved story telling, Gwen connected more with her. And that is exactly what clicked between the two as Cara ended up choosing Gwen as her coach, which left fans surprised.
Many fans thought Cara would choose Blake based on his prowress of the country genre, but in the end she ended up choosing Gwen, much to the bafflement of many fans. “She was wanting to choose Blake until Gwen turned,” commented one. Another praised her choice with, “She went with the best coach!!!” Another said “@gwenstefani just floored the Blake Sheldon crew on #TheVoice!” And one said. "@blakeshelton #TheVoice I thought you had that one...." To which one added “Damnit! I thought Cara would go with you brother. At least you lost her to your beautiful wife.”
