Kody Brown drops a bold confession as ‘Sister Wives’ promo hints one ex-wife exposed another's affair
Kody Brown is spilling the beans in 'Sister Wives' Season 20, and it's explosive than ever. Once enjoying the title of a polygamist husband, Kody's life took a drastic turn when Christine Brown left Kody in early 2021, followed by Meri and Janelle Brown. Since then, Kody has frequently shown a salty attitude toward his ex-wives. In a recent Season 20 mid-season promo, a bombshell revelation takes center stage, with Kody claiming that one of his former wives disclosed that another was cheating on him.
In the trailer, Kody decides he wants to apologize to his ex-wives Meri, Janelle, and Christine, as well as to his current wife, Robyn Brown, but the women question his intentions, as per People. Kody explains, "After that whole experience in Coyote Pass, I want to set them free," referring to the long-running conflict over the land they purchased while married. Christine, speaking with her husband, David Woolley, recognizes that Kody "wants to extend an olive branch" but remains wary, adding, "I need to know what the motive is."
She further admits, "I don't have a lot of trust with Kody." When Kody arrives, he tells them, "Suck those beers down, because I got some fun stuff to share with you." Christine reacts by saying, "Now I'm nervous," and questions his intentions, adding, "As far as extending an olive branch, I think there'll be hidden barbs in there." When Kody apologizes "for saying I didn't love you," Christine rejects the moment, responding, "This is my husband here. Why do you think this is appropriate?"
Janelle is then shown celebrating "getting a new man" and also seems hesitant about Kody's apology, reacting with "Wow." Meanwhile, Meri introduces a new love interest and says she's "so happy" when she's with him. Meri gushes about her new connection, saying, "Ron is in town and I can't help but smile," and explains, "I met Ron at a speed dating event." Meanwhile, as Kody prepares to speak with her, he admits he is "a little bit nervous thinking that it could go really, really wrong." He tells Meri, "An apology is so needed here because this is still so toxic." Meri challenges him by asking, "Do you apologize that you are toxic to me?"
In her confessional, she criticizes him further, saying, "His energy f*****g with my energy." She pushes back on his repeated attempts at apologizing, telling him, "You've got to stop with the word 'apologize.' The more you use it, the more it feels insincere." The final apology goes to Robyn, who joined the sister wives in 2010 and is now in a monogamous relationship with Kody after his split from his other three wives. "We've had a hard run," she says, growing teary-eyed, while Kody added, "I think I owe you an apology." Kody ends the preview with a shocking claim that one of his wives had an affair and another wife exposed it. A new episode of 'Sister Wives' airing Sunday, November 23, at 10 pm ET on TLC marks the final chapter in the family's breakup after the sale of Coyote Pass, as per Mass Live.
