Where does June Shannon live now? Anna Cardwell moves in with 'Mama June: Family Crisis' Season 7 star amid illness
GORDON, GEORGIA: 'Mama June: Family Crisis' Season 7 star, Mama June Shannon, is currently residing in a rental property in Georgia. In a heartfelt gesture, the reality star invited her daughter, Anna Cardwell, to move in with her following the distressing news that Anna's cancer had become terminal.
However, June actively sought a larger home to accommodate not only Anna's daughters, Kaitlyn Elizabeth and Kylee Madison, but also her husband, Eldridge Toney, within the household.
June reflected on the struggle of continuously traveling from Atlanta to Alabama for Anna's treatment. She shared, "A lot going on in my life right now we found out Anna had cancer. Now she's having treatments. We have to back and forth to Alabama, like we're living in and out of a suitcase."
The reality star further claimed, "It mentally and emotionally exhausts me a lot. I hate that it's adding stress to our like newly married life right now but I mean I have to be there for Anna."
However, Anna was surprised that her mother June stepped in to take care of her. She admitted in the confessional, "I'm honestly kind of shocked that Mama is doing all what she's doing." She then reflected on her and June's relationship which had not been the 'greatest'.
She shared, "It's been on and off for eight plus years now, but I mean it's going good now. And it's getting back to where it used to be where we talk every day and everything like that."
Anna praised the support of her mother and noted, "Now especially now with his cancer stuff, she's it's been great. She's been an amazing help and I'm so greatly appreciative for it." However, June didn't want Anna to die on a hospital bed and she started to hunt for a bigger house to accommodate the family.
Mama June accompanies Anna Cardwell for chemotherapy
Mama June supported Anna Cardwell for her all four chemotherapy. In the most recent episode of the WETv show, Anna underwent her fourth round of chemotherapy, and both June and her husband, Justin Stroud, were by the side of the reality star throughout the process.
June opened up about Anna's chemotherapy and shared, "The second round was she like very nauseous. The third round she pretty much slept through it."
The reality star added, "And my fear is what happens after the chemo isn't in her body. The thing I hate about cancer, and especially her cancer because it's so aggressive, is we don't know."
June recorded a video of herself in the hospital and said, "I'm not going to lie to you, it is very emotionally and mentally and sometimes physically draining as her mother has to just think about it all the time." She added, "So I do tell people that it's a lot different when it's your child versus somebody else who has cancer. So I definitely do not wish this on anybody."
Anna Cardwell refuses to make child custody
'Mama June: Family Crisis' Season 7 star Anna Cardwell was in a refusal of the seriousness of her cancer.
In the latest episode, June told Pumpkin, "I tried to ask the doctor her time frame, and then she cut him off. She was like, 'Oh, I've heard one, five and 10 years.' He looked at her and said, 'You're not going to make it 10 years. You're not going to make it five years.'"
Pumpkin agreed with June and claimed that Anna wasn't "living in reality at all." Additionally, Anna refused to get things in order and give her custody of her daughters, Kaitlyn and Kylee. Anna claimed that she could live till Kaitlyn's high school graduation and that she didn't need to give custody to anyone else.
June and Pumpkin then discussed how Anna's reluctance to plan for her passing was affecting her daughters. June later admitted she explored the possibility of acquiring a life insurance policy for Anna and the kids, but she couldn't do it without certain legal documents her eldest daughter hadn't given her yet.
'Mama June: Family Crisis' Season 7 airs every Friday at 9 pm ET on WeTV.
