'Mama June: Family Crisis' star Anna Cardwell sparks concern over unhealthy diet amid terminal cancer
GORDON, GEORGIA: 'Mama June: Family Crisis' Season 7 continued to provide insights and struggles of Anna Cardwell's stage 4 adrenal carcinoma cancer battle.
The reality star started her chemotherapy but the doctors have already said that her cancer became terminal and she needed to focus on her diet.
In the preview of the upcoming episode, Anna moved in with her husband, Eldridge Toney, as well as, daughters, Kaitlyn Elizabeth and Kylee Madison to Mama June Shannon's house.
Lauryn "Pumpkin" Efird visited Anna with her sister's favorite food lasagna. However, Anna was excited about the food and shared about her cancer.
Anna shared that she was "feeling a little nauseous," which meant the "chemo’s working." She elaborated, "They say I don’t have any more spots on my lungs. My kidney is a little swollen."
The reality star further noted in the preview, "The tumor on my kidneys has grown a little bit, but they said that could be cause it’s dying."
However, Pumpkin was concerned about Anna's health and warned about her unhealthy diet. Anna assured Pumpkin to take it easy and allow herself to "indulge" every once in a while.
Mama June Shannon shows concern for her daughter's diet
Mama June Shannon was concerned over her daughter, Anna Cardwell's unhealthy diet. The reality star informed Pumpkin that the doctors have told Anna to "pay attention to her body and how she's feeling."
Meanwhile, Anna confessed she needed to "eat more greens and fruits," as well as cut back on her sugar intake.
Anna appeared to not take the doctor's suggestions seriously and Pumpkin was quite disappointed with her sister after June revealed to do whatever she needed to to stay alive and watch her children grow up.
Anna responded, "I'll be all right. We're all just going with the flow." She added, "That's what we’re doing. We just going with the flow. We’re dealing with the cards we have been dealt with."
However, Pumpkin insisted her sister needed to take her health battle more seriously and noted, "We need to address all these things, you know what I’m saying."
She added, "There are many other aspects besides the cancer that need to be in order, but they’re not at all."
Anna Cardwell slams Pumpkin and Mama June Shannon for giving her 'headache'
Anna Cardwell was visibly frustrated with her mother June Shannon and sister Lauryn "Pumpkin" Efird's suggestions and concerns.
In the preview, Pumpkin expressed her dissatisfaction and claimed that she "didn't like" the lack of a clear plan. She was also not happy with the guidance from Anna's doctors regarding what steps the family should take.
However, June clarified that they had sought clarity from Anna's doctors about her situation, but the medical professionals seemed to adopt a "wait and see" approach.
She shared, "I understand. They’re doctors. But I’m also confused." Anna seemingly reached her limit with the conversation and asked Pumpkin and June to leave as they were giving her a "headache."
