BRENTWOOD, CALIFORNIA: 'American Idol' Season 21 is just a few episodes away from crowning a winner and giving the world a new singing sensation. However, fans bid farewell to multiple favourites including Lucy Love, Tyson Venegas and Nutsa among others as the episodes progressed.

After some stirring performances, judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan decided to advance top eight aspiring singers instead of seven. Ed Sheeran took the judges' chair with Bryan during the latest episode as Perry and Richie went to perform at King Charles' coronation.

Who is in the Top 5?

Colin Stough: Colin performed 'Hand in My Pocket' by Alanis to earn a spot in the Top 5. The aspiring singer used an acoustic guitar and received compliments from the judges.

Megan Danielle: Megan sang 'Head Over Feet' by Alanis and dedicated her soulful performance to her boyfriend.

We Ani: We never failed to nail his performance. He sang 'Uninvited' by Alanis and garnered praise for her 'powerful performance' from the judges.

Iam Tongi: Iam teamed up with Oliver Steele and deliver a stellar duet performance on 'Photograph' by Ed Sheeran. While Iam made it to the Top 5, Oliver failed to earn enough votes.

Zachariah Smith: Zachariah delivered a stirring performance on 'Ironic' by Alanis. Sheeran was left captivated by the aspiring singer's performance. Meanwhile, Luke praised Zachariah for adding dynamics this week.

'American Idol' Season 21 airs every Sunday and Monday at 8 pm ET on ABC
