BRENTWOOD, CALIFORNIA: 'American Idol' Season 21 top 10 contestants delivered stirring performances with the hopes of earning viewers' votes. Season 19 winner Chayce Beckham also performed during the Judge's Song Contest. However, Katy Perry won the Judge's contest.

Meanwhile, fans had to bid adieu to their two favorite contestants. Marybeth Byrd and Tyson Venegas got eliminated as they received fewer votes than the other contestants. Tyson Venegas performs an emotional ballad

Katy, Luke, and Lionel chose a ballad for Tyson. The aspiring singer confessed that he has never performed an emotional song. Tyson chose 'Someone You Loved' by Lewis Capaldi. Tyson perfectly delivered the ballad, and the judges loved his performance. Tyson guessed that Katy chose the song, and he was right. Katy said, "It's exactly what I wanted to see from him. You have evolved on this stage." The pop star added, "You are more than a gimmick. You are the whole package to me now." Luke complimented, "Your growth and you confidence, ability to challenge emotion... way to show up." However, Lionel gushed, “Everyone has their own style... you stepped into your own style. Fantastic."

'Tyson should've been picked'

Although 'American Idol' judges loved his performance, they didn't save him. The viewers are now furious and think Tyson deserved a spot in the top 8. A twitter user wrote, "Well, okay with most going through... But Tyson should've been picked...😏🤔." Another fan noted, "Tyson was robbed tonight, idk who y’all are voting for because… 🥶🤧 ." "Tyson deserved that save," said another person. Another follower added, "It’s crazy that Tyson went home. They literally have three (3) contestants that are the same! Smh!" Meanwhile, another viewer asked to save Tyson and send Haven Madison home. He tweeted, "Sending Tyson home is blasphemy. Send that Taylor Swift wanna be 16 year old home, she sucks! 🍅🍅🍅." Others commented on Instagram, "Haven over Tyson." Another Instagram user wrote, "How did those few blondes who didn’t sound as good as him get voted in? It’s a popularity contest n most of the voters are kids."
