UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: At just the tender age of seventeen, Parijita Bastola managed to wow not only 'The Voice' coaches but also the show's audience with her velvety vocals. After receiving the coveted four-chair turn for her blind audition, the teenager decided to join Team Legend, it looks like she made the right decision as John Legend crowned her the winner of the battles round!

For 'The Voice' Season 22's battles round, John paired Parijita against sibling duo The Marilynds. After picking Bee Gee's 'How Deep is Your Love' as the battles song, John couldn't help but worry about the harmonization between the three artists. As battle advisor Jazmine Sullivan noted, while the Marilynds had perfect harmony between themselves, when it came to performing with Parijita, the sisters struggled. After long rehearsal sessions, the trio took to the stage ready to give it their best shot to continue their journey on 'The Voice'.

The Marilynds and Parijita left everybody pleasantly surprised by how beautifully they managed to harmonize their vocals. The coaches couldn't stop raving about their performance. While Gwen Stefani and Camila Cabello felt that all three singers were great, Blake chose Parijita as his winner owing to the impeccable range in her vocals at such a young age. He felt that she was a star in the making. John took Blake's advice and crowned Parijita as the winner. Just as Marilynds were ready to leave the stage, the coach hit his save button and saved the sisters from elimination.

Later in his confessional, John explained how Marilynds had a unique talent just like Parijita, so he felt compelled to keep all three of them on his team. Luckily for john, 'The Voice' fans were pleased with his decision and dubbed it as "right choice". A fan commented on the show's YouTube clip of the battles round with, "This was absolutely amazing. John made the right choice in keeping them both." "Good choice keeping them both! They all did well," wrote a fan. "Great move John. They are all fantastic singers," echoed a fan.
