LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Episode 4 of 'The Voice' Season 22 aired on September 27 and it was undoubtedly packed with some solid performances. One such mind-blowing performance was by teen Parijita Bastola, who managed to steal the whole show. Also the first ever Nepalese-American contestant on the show, Parijita showed off her powerful vocals to the coaches and fans and won all their hearts.

Four-chair turning performances are pretty rare, and one with such raw soul and power-packed vocals is a once-in-a-lifetime talent. Judges John Legend, Camila Cabello, and Gwen Stefani turned within the first 20 seconds, while Blake Shelton waited for Parijita to hit a high note to be convinced. But it was a spectacle to admire as all four judges admitted to being swayed by the teen singer after a phenomenal four-chair-turn.

Who is Parijita Bastola?

Parijita Bastola is the first Nepalese-American to audition for 'The Voice'. "I definitely like to incorporate my Nepalese heritage into my singing and my music," Parijita said after her audition. The 17-year-old's family owns a small restaurant. She revealed 'The Voice' is a family favorite, and they specifically closed their restaurant on Monday so they could all be with her to support her during her audition. She attends Severna Park High School and is a native of Severna, Maryland. She is the vocalist for the band Bastola, named after her.

Parijita on 'The Voice' Season 22

Parijita's performance wowed all the judges and fans alike. She sang 'Jealous' by Labyrinth for her audition and received chair turns from John, Camila, and Gwen in the first 20 seconds. Blake waited until she hit a high note and turned his chair for her as well. A feat only a few contestants achieve. After pondering over all the praises and pitches the four judges showered onto her, she ultimately chose John as her coach. Fans wonder if John will get his second win on the show with Parijita. Her story was something that especially struck a chord with the judges, and fans were quick to react to the fact that the four-chair recipient can surely win this season of 'The Voice'!
