'The Voice' Battles 2022: Team Camila's Sydney Kronmiller sent home, fans say 'they always cut the interesting voices'
UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: Camila Cabello had her task cut out for her when she decided to pit Eric Who against Sydney Kronmiller for the battles round on 'The Voice' Season 22. Since both the artists have a pop tone to their voices, the celebrity coach decided to give them Lady Gaga's 'Paparazzi' as the battles song.
After some intense rehearsals session with Camila and battles advisor Charlie Puth, Eric and Sydney took to the stage to deliver their final performance. The duo's voices blended well despite the stark difference in their styles. As John Legend noted, Sydney's ability to hit low notes and then switch to high notes effortlessly, was something he had never seen before. On the other hand, Eric's dramatic stage presence and the uplifting vibe had the coaches tapping their legs. While both the artists received plenty of praise from the coaches, when it was finally time for Camila to pick the winner of the battle, she chose Eric as the winner. While the fans were happy to see Eric's well-deserved win, they however weren't pleased with Sydney's elimination.

'The Voice' fans felt that Sydney deserved a steal from the other coaches, owing to her very unique voice. Since Camila had already used up her steal and save lifelines earlier in the competition, fans were banking on the other coaches- Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, and John, to steal Sydney and let her continue her journey in the competition. Unfortunately, none of the coaches hit the steal button, so Sydney had to leave.
After watching Sydney's exit, several fans took to Twitter and the show's YouTube page to express their disappointment with Sydney's elimination. A fan tweeted, "#TheVoice Sydney you should have been stolen. Never quit singing you are beyond amazing." "#TheVoice I would STEAL Sydney! Outrageous voice!" wrote a fan. Another fan commented on the YouTube clip of the battles performance with, "This is one of the very best duets/battles I have ever seen on The Voice. How Sydney didn't get stolen is beyond me." "BS that Sydney went home...," seconded a fan. "I would have chosen Sydney on this. They always cut the interesting voices," declared a fan.
