LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: As Apple TV+'s feel-good sports drama, 'Ted Lasso', returns for Season 3, there is speculation if it will have a fourth season. The TV series follows the story of the titular character, who is appointed by the divorcee Rebecca Welton as the coach for AFC Richmond, a team that her cheating husband loves. When Rebecca wants the team to fail, Ted's optimistic approach helps the opposite happen. 'Ted Lasso' is created by Brendan Hunt, Joe Kelly and Bill Lawrence. The first two seasons have a total of 22 episodes while Season 3 will have 12.

'Ted Lasso' stars Jason Sudeikis as Ted Lasso, Brett Goldstein as Roy Kent, Brendan Hunt as Coach Beard, Nick Mohammed as Nathan Shelley, Hannah Waddingham as Rebecca Welton, Jeremy Swift as Leslie Higgins, Phil Dunster as Jamie Tartt, Juno Temple as Keeley Jones, Toheeb Jimoh as Sam Obisanya and Kola Bokinni as Isaac McAdoo. 'Ted Lasso' has won a number of accolades, including Primetime Emmy Awards, Golden Globe Awards and Screen Actors Guild Awards.

'I hope there's more'

Mohammed, who plays Nathan Shelley, spoke about speculation if there would be another season in an interview with EW. He reportedly said, "I feel like the writers were really open at the start and said that in their heads they'd mapped out three-season arcs," he said, adding, "But that doesn't mean that it definitely has to come to an end. There's no reason why it couldn't continue. So, we'll see. I hope there's more, but who knows."

What is Season 3 of 'Ted Lasso' about?

The Emmy Award-winning series is returning in March for another exciting season. However, Sudeikis stated on several occasions that the characters on the show were envisioned particularly for a three-season arc. Season 3 of 'Ted Lasso' will explore Ted facing ridicule as the newly-promoted AFC Richmond is predicted to come last. Nate now works for Rupert (Anthony Head) at West Ham United. Ted deals with issues from work and home, and Rebecca is focussed on defeating Rupert and Keeley. Though things seem to be falling apart, Team Lasso is ready to face the challenge and give their best shot.

The first two seasons of 'Ted Lasso' is currently available to stream exclusively on Apple TV+ and Season 3 will premiere on Wednesday, March 15.
