LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ted Lasso, a popular comedy on Apple TV+, will return for a third season in the spring of 2023. A new first-look image for the season shows Nathan (Nick Mohammed) and Ted (Jason Sudeikis) facing off after becoming rivals in the Season 2 finale.

The information was revealed at Apple's presentation during the Television Critics Association's winter 2023 press tour, which also included a panel discussion on the upcoming comedy series 'Shrinking' with writer/star Brett Goldstein and co-creator Bill Lawrence of 'Ted Lasso.' Lawrence remained mum when questioned about 'Ted Lasso' at the panel, but when asked about Season 3, he remarked, "I've seen cuts, and it's f**king amazing," as Goldstein expressed his joy in the episode.

Although there hasn't been any official confirmation, it has long been assumed that Season 3 of 'Ted Lasso' will be the last, largely because of cast members' comments. While Goldstein informed the Sunday Times that Season 3 of being scripted as a final show, Sudeikis stated to Entertainment Weekly in 2021 that he originally envisioned a three-season arc for the series but would be open to doing more.

It would be amusing to see if Apple TV+ is able to persuade them to return for another season, but for now, it appears that fans will have to prepare to say goodbye to their favourite characters shortly.

The first two seasons were widely praised and received numerous awards, including the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series and the Golden Globe for Best Comedy Series. In addition to receiving positive reviews, the show has a huge fan base thanks to its captivating plot and a stellar cast.

The story of 'Ted Lasso' centers on the titular character, an inexperienced Kansas college football coach who is hired to lead a professional soccer team in England. Nathan departs AFC Richmond at the end of Season 2 to manage a rival team owned by the Richmond owner's (Hannah Waddingham) ex-husband after feeling rejected by Ted (Anthony Head). Along with Phil Dunster, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, and others star.
