LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Our favorite Apple TV+ series 'Ted Lasso' will come to an end with its Season 3, according to its lead actor Jason Sudeikis. 'Ted Lasso' is a sports comedy that feels like a warm hug on a cold winter morning. The show sky-rocketed into popularity back in 2020 and has made people fall in love with it ever since. 'Ted Lasso' is led by Jason Sudeikis, an American Football coach, who crosses the Atlantic Ocean to coach a failing UK soccer team. With little-to-no idea about how UK soccer is played, Ted compensates for that with extra optimism and excitement.

The show sums up the protagonist’s unyielding optimism that faces down certain defeat with a cheesy mustachioed smile and an array of odd expressions like, “You beating yourself up is like Woody Allen playing the clarinet—I don’t want to hear it.” The series stars Jason Sudeikis along with Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Juno Temple in the lead.

'There’s always cameo, right?'

It seems like Jason Sudeikis doesn't want to say goodbye to his alter ego, Ted Lasso. When talking to Deadline about the show, Sudeikis said that even though 'Ted Lasso' would end, there is always the chance to do a cameo and there would be people who want 'Ted Lasso' to create a personalized message. He continued to talk about how 'Ted Lasso' has done his duty of telling the story and this is the end of Lasso's journey.  "I mean, there’s always Cameo, right?” Sudeikis tells Deadline how he could return as Ted one day, via the website that lets you request personalized videos from your favorite actors. "This is the end of this story that we wanted to tell, that we were hoping to tell, that we loved to tell. The fact that folks will want more and are curious beyond more than what they don’t even know yet—that being Season 3—it’s flattering. Maybe by May 31, once all 12 episodes of the season [have been released], they’re like, ‘Man, you know what, we get it, we’re fine. We don’t need anymore, we got it.’ But until that time comes, I will appreciate the curiosity beyond what we’ve come up with so far." according to Deadline

Will there be a spin-off series?

When discussing whether there will be a spin-off series, Jason Sudeikis shared that there is a possibility, as there are many interesting characters who deserve their own spin-off show, "Yeah, I think that we’ve set the table for all sorts of folks…to get to watch the further telling of these stories," he said. "Again, I can’t help but take the question as flattery for what all of us that were working on the show has tried to do. It’s really kind of folks to even consider that because you never know what’s gonna happen when you make things. The fact that people want more, even if it’s a different avenue is lovely."

'Ted Lasso' season 3 premieres on Apple TV+ on 15 March.
