LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Season 3 of ‘Ted Lasso’ is just around the corner and Apple TV+ is leaving no stone unturned to make it the show’s biggest season yet. The second edition of the hit comedy series ended on a bittersweet note because AFC Richmond won the promotion back up to the Premier League at the end, but they lost one of their key members in the form of Nate (Nick Mohammad). To get people more excited, the streaming platform has unveiled the first trailer for Season 3 of ‘Ted Lasso’, and like always, it’s extra feel-good.

The trailer begins with Ted Lasso entering the dressing room of AFC Richmond as the team gets ready to play their Premier League matches. While all the other important members of the team like Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham), Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein), and Keeley (Juno Temple) are also returning to work after a long wait. However, things are not looking good for AFC Richmond as it seems that they are going through a really rough patch. The reactions given by Richmond players make us believe that they will be suffering losses at the beginning of the season and put the team in a dismal position.

Nate enters his villain era

Meanwhile, Nate seems to have reached his villain era and can be seen sipping wine before we get glimpses of him training the players of West Ham United. Even though a lot of things have changed in this season, one thing still dominates all the other aspects: simplicity. As the trailer moves forward, we get glimpses of Ted Lasso making everyone feel good about themselves and joking in press conferences that make him one-of-a-kind. His life seems to be filled with positivity, but in reality, he is still getting those panic attacks that we saw him having in Season 2.

Apart from the football stuff, the relationship between Roy and Keeley will be one of the major plotlines this season. In one of the scenes from the trailer, it looks like Roy and Keeley are still trying to make their relationship work. However, their fate seems uncertain.

Will AFC Richmond be relegated again?

The trailer concludes with AFC Richmond trying to get their mojo back as they finally meet West Ham United in a game. But one moment that made us feel really amazing is that Ted is still in support of Nate and even watches the West Ham United game, along with Coach Beard, and his son. It will be interesting to see how Nate would react to seeing Ted and his son supporting him during his time a West Ham United.

The cast of the series also includes Jeremy Swift, Phil Dunster, Toheeb Jimoh, Cristo Fernandez, Kola Bokinni, Billy Harris, and James Lance.

The official synopsis of Season 3 reads, “In this third season of ‘Ted Lasso’, the newly promoted AFC Richmond faces ridicule as media predictions widely peg them as last in the Premier League and Nate (Nick Mohammed), now hailed as the 'wonder kid,' has gone to work for Rupert (Anthony Head) at West Ham United. In the wake of Nate’s contentious departure from Richmond, Roy steps up as assistant coach, alongside Beard. Meanwhile, while Ted deals with pressures at work, he continues to wrestle with his own personal issues back home, Rebecca is focused on defeating Rupert and Keeley (Juno Temple) navigates being the boss of her own PR agency. Things seem to be falling apart both on and off the pitch, but Team Lasso is set to give it their best shot anyway.”

‘Ted Lasso’ Season 3 will be streaming exclusively on Apple TV+ from March 15, 2023.
