'Ex on the Beach': Fans slam 'lying' David for upsetting Dani, say she 'deserves better'

Though Dani wasn't aware of David's interest in Kyra, she noticed that he was behaving in a detached manner around her

Like a kid in a candy store, David Barta keeps getting excited as new singles keep washing up on 'Ex on the Beach'. After finding himself attracted to his co-star Mike Mulderrig, and kissing him, David immediately began trying to work things out with his ex Dani Coco.

While still keeping the door wide open for Mike, David continued to woo Dani. Just as Dani was beginning to lower her guard and trust her cheating ex, David proved that old habits die hard. When new single Kyra Green popped up, he was instantly drawn to her and discarded Dani. David explained in his confessional that Kyra was his 'Love Island' crush and tried sliding into her DMs but she apparently didn't respond to him. Now that she was under the same roof as him, David was keen on trying his luck with Kyra again. Though Dani wasn't aware of David's interest in Kyra, she noticed that he was behaving in a detached manner around her. This left Dani feeling upset.

Later when she saw a clip of David and Mike's kiss, she began feeling betrayed. To make things worse, David finally decided to come clean and declared in front of everybody that he was interested in Kyra, and had a connection with Mike but wanted to explore things with Kyra. Dani began feeling humiliated and broke down. She explained to David that she didn't deserve to be anybody's 'second option' and decided to break things off with him.

After watching David put Dani through the wringer, fans began slamming him. A fan tweeted, "David was so cute until this episode. He became so unattractive with all this lying #ExOnTheBeach." "David treating Dani like she's nothing now that Kyra is there like so not cool!! #ExOnTheBeach," wrote a fan. "I think David should’ve been straightforward from the jump with Dani saying he wanted to explore his options and his sexuality like he said from Episode 1 rather than attaching himself to her then disposing her once Kyra came out #ExOntheBeach," pointed out a fan.

Many fans also felt that Dani deserved someone better than David. A fan shared, "Dani deserves better #exonthebeach." "Dani definitely trying to break our hearts tonight #ExOnTheBeach," expressed a fan. "I don’t want Dani to go home cause she’s the sweetest but I don’t wanna see her heart get crushed more #exonthebeach," observed a fan. "Was a tough ep for Dani Praised her for separating the beds, testing David's mindset. Hate to see her dropping tears for that guy but needed to feel that heartbreak in order to move on. Hoping good things to come with her next week #ExOnTheBeach," added a fan.
