'Ex on the Beach': Who is Ranin Karim? Hillsong pastor Carl Lentz called her 'best sex he ever had'
Considering MTV's hit dating show 'Ex on the Beach' is built on the concept of exes trying to either woo back their former flame or planning a nice revenge to settle scores, it's important that the cast on the show be as messy and chaotic as possible to grab eyeballs. The showrunners managed to do exactly that when they roped in New York City based fashion designer Ranin Karim for the show's season 5.
If you're wondering who Karim is, then we got you covered. You may recognize this dark-haired beauty as the infamous mistress of disgraced Hillsong pastor Carl Lentz. Back in 2020, Karim made headlines when she revealed that she was having an affair with the celebrity megachurch's pastor while he was still married to his wife of 17 years- Laura Lentz. She left everybody shocked when she added that the disgraced pastor told her that she gave him the best sex he's "ever had in his life". Shortly after that Lentz and his wife were sacked from Hillsong on the grounds of 'moral failure'. Who is Ranin Karim?
Karim was born and raised in Palestine. She became a fashion designer after she moved to New York City. Prior to launching her own brand Wahideon, Karim worked with various other high-end brands.
She however became famous after her affair with Lentz was made public in 2020. In an interview with Daily Telegraph she revealed that a 'chance meeting' with the famous pastor in New York's Domino Park during the Covid-19 pandemic set off their five-month-long affair. She also revealed details of their affair. "He would come to my apartment three times a week with Tequila in his backpack so people wouldn't see him with it in the street. He said the sex we had was the best he's ever had in his life and he couldn't stop being with me," she shared.
When Karim found out that Lentz was married, she reportedly asked him to end their affair, but the pastor wasn't ready to. "When I found out he was married, I told him repeatedly 'go back to your wife, go back to your family,' but he kept turning up in the lobby of my apartment block with bottles of Clase Azul tequila for us to drink." "He said he felt bad for what he was doing to his wife, that she was an amazing, good woman, that he had never done it before but his marriage wasn't perfect," she added.
Lentz's affair with Karim was discovered by Laura when she stumbled upon text messages between them on Lentz's computer while she was at Hillsong office with her co-workers. Since then three other women have come forward revealing that they had affairs with Lentz. This led to the pastor's sacking from the megachurch.

Ranin joined the MTV reality show as one of the singles seeking to find love, and her ex Elias will be joining her on the journey. According to her bio on the network's website, she was married to Elias, but the couple divorced two years later owing to his immaturity. But they managed to stay friends even after their divorce, and are now ready to give their relationship another shot.
