Gala leaves New York City to protect her daughter, Kate (Victoria Bazua), and her mother, Julia (Carmen Maura), from criminals. Gala and her family seek refuge in La Muga, a small, rural village in Spain, as they try to escape the chaos and danger surrounding them.

However, it seems their problems will not leave them alone, as the criminals track them down to La Muga.

Let's discuss the key events from 'Land of Women' Episode 4 and speculate on what might occur in Episode 5.

'Land of Women' Episode 4 opens with a flashback to Kate's birth. During this time, Gala's husband, Fred (James Purefoy), was in Mexico for work, leaving pregnant Gala to call her mother, Julia, for support during childbirth.

Julia hadn't attended Gala and Fred's wedding because she saw Fred flirting with an event planner. Gala gave birth to a boy, but as he grew older, he transitioned into a girl. Despite this, it did not stop Gala from loving Kate.

As the episode unfolds, Kate takes the last of her remaining hormones. Meanwhile, Gala spends the entire night rearranging Amat’s (Santiago Cabrera) place because he spent the night with Montse (Ariadna Gil) and was loud. The next morning, Julia teases Amat and Montse about being friends with benefits.

Later on, Kate visits the doctor who previously insulted her by sharing her private information with another woman, leading to Kate being humiliated at a bar. Kate confronts the doctor by informing his patients that he has been divulging their private information in public.

She asks him to provide her with the prescription for the hormones she requires. She succeeds in her mission.

Meanwhile, Julia visits the priest at the church and reveals to him that he might be Gala's father, as they were in a sexual relationship during their youth. Julia tells him that he can help them financially and then leaves.

Later in 'Land of Women' Episode 4, Gala asks all the women in town to give her their delicious homemade wine so that she can mix it with new wine and present it to the American lady.

However, Amat informs everyone that the other women in town have already agreed to Gala's plan, and suddenly everybody is on board. They are working tirelessly to prepare the wine.

As the episode progresses, Julia warmly invites Tony's (Ben Temple) two men into the house. They have come looking for Fred because he owes $15 million to Tony.

Kate calls Gala and advises her in Spanish not to come home, instructing her to stay at work. However, Gala overhears one of the men and realizes that they have tracked them down.

Gala hurriedly rushes back home. The two men confront Gala and insist that she speak to their boss. It's then that Gala discovers the truth: Fred owes a large sum of money to Tony. Upon checking Fred's emails, Gala realizes that he has taken his mistress to the location he had originally promised to take Gala for their anniversary.

Gala is informed that the men will remain with them until Tony locates Fred. Amid this tense situation, Andreu unexpectedly arrives at the house to disclose to Julia that he is not sterile; rather, it is her sister who cannot have children.

This revelation suggests that Andreu could potentially be Gala's father. Julia secretly takes Andreu's gun and urges him to leave.

Later on, Gala attempts to mix the crushed sleeping pills into food, but one of the men detects something awry in the food. Julia immediately confesses and pulls out the gun on them.

Kate splashes wine on one of the men and flees. As the episode concludes, the women attempt to escape but are captured by Tony's men.

Amat searches desperately for them. Simultaneously, the priest publicly reveals that he has a daughter and granddaughter.

The episode ends with Tony's men aiming their guns at the three women.

It appears increasingly probable that Amat will locate Gala and confront Tony's men, potentially rescuing her from their grasp. Tony's men are unlikely to leave La Muga until their boss locates Fred.

Gala and Tony's men might reluctantly collaborate to locate Fred, driven by their mutual interest in resolving the debt issue.

Gala's insight into Fred's deceit could serve as a bargaining chip or a means to negotiate with Tony's men, potentially aligning their goals temporarily.

In 'Land of Women' Episode 5, Amat may help Gala and her family because of his growing feelings for her. As they navigate the complexities of finding Fred and resolving the debt issue, they might unearth hidden motives, personal agendas, and unexpected connections within La Muga.

Meanwhile, the revelation by the priest that he has a daughter could intensify Julia's personal challenges. The women in La Muga may feel compelled to force the priest and Julia to leave the village.
