BARCELONA, SPAIN: 'Land of Women' is getting intense with each episode as Gala (Eva Longoria) continues to face numerous challenges, navigating the complexities of her new life in La Muga.

Gala once enjoyed a luxurious and ideal life in New York City. However, everything changed when her husband, Fred (James Purefoy), took a $15 million loan from a criminal organization.

Fred's actions plunged the family into danger, compelling Gala to flee the city to protect her daughter, Kate (Victoria Bazua), and her mother, Julia (Carmen Maura). They sought refuge in La Muga, a small, rural village in Spain.

Julia spent her childhood and much of her adulthood in La Muga. When Julia returned to La Muga, she faced animosity from the local women. This hostile environment created additional challenges for Gala, complicating her efforts to establish a new, peaceful life in La Muga.

However, it seems that someone from her own family is going to make life hard for Gala.

How can Gala's aunt make her life hell in La Muga?

When Gala came to La Muga in 'Land of Women' Episode 1, she wanted to live in Julia's house. However, it was revealed that Gala's aunt, Mariona (Gloria Muñoz), had sold the family home to Amat (Santiago Cabrera).

This news shattered Gala because she needed to earn money to live in La Muga. Thankfully, Amat offered help by allowing Gala's family to stay in his house.

Mariona hates Julia, her own sister because apparently Julia left La Muga and never called her or wrote a letter. She did not even offer her house as a place to stay when Julia came back.

In 'Land of Women' Episode 3, Mariona discovered that during their youth, Julia had been sexually involved with Mariona's husband, Andreu (Pep Anton Muñoz). At that time, Mariona and Andreu were not married. After Julia left La Muga, Andreu married Mariona.

This revelation angered Mariona, and now it seems she would do anything to make Julia and Gala's life hell. She might work with other women in the village. Together, they may conspire to create difficulties for Gala and Julia, perhaps through gossip, social exclusion, or even more malicious tactics. They could even force Gala to leave La Muga.

The women in La Muga already hate Julia because during her youth, she was renowned for her popularity among men. Julia's charisma and attractiveness seemingly attracted attention and admiration from many men in the village, which likely stirred jealousy and insecurity among other women.

In the past, Julia was also sexually involved with various men in La Muga. Julia doesn't even know who Gala's father is because she left La Muga shortly after becoming pregnant. Her departure left behind unanswered questions and speculation within the community.

In the upcoming episodes of 'Land of Women', Mariona could exploit the mystery of Gala's paternity as a means to pressure Julia and her family to leave La Muga. By casting doubt and stirring up gossip about Gala's father, Mariona could manipulate public perception against Julia, portraying her as a source of scandal and disruption in the community.

It seems Gala will have to leave La Muga if the women continue to push Julia and her family toward the brink. The escalating tensions, fueled by Mariona's vendetta and the villagers' resentment towards Julia, can create an increasingly hostile environment for Gala.

Meanwhile, two men from a criminal organization have also arrived in La Muga to search for them. Considering this new threat, it seems increasingly likely that Gala may soon have to leave La Muga.

Mariona already hates Gala and Julia. If the two men arrive at her doorstep to inquire about Gala's whereabouts, she may share this information, potentially endangering Julia and Gala's life.

It would indeed be intriguing to see how Gala and Julia navigate their lives in La Muga under such challenging circumstances.
