'They want Mariah to be HunterGirl': Internet slams 'American Idol' judges as country singer advances
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'American Idol' Season 21 wrapped up the Showstopper rounds giving the viewers the Top 26 hopefuls who will compete to win 'America's Vote' at Disney's Aulani Resort in Ko Olina, Hawaii. However, the viewers are seemingly fed up with the judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan over their decision to advance the less talented singers.
Aspiring singer Mariah Faith recently took the Showstoppers stage to perform 'I Ain’t Living Long Like This' by Waylon Jennings. While the viewers didn't like her performance much, the judges advanced Mariah to the next round. Notably, the social media users also accused the judges want Mariah to be 'American Idol' Season 20 runner-up HunterGirl.

Luke dubs Mariah Faith 'a soul singer'
Mariah performed 'I Ain’t Living Long Like This' by Waylon Jennings for her final showstopper performance. the aspiring country singer breaks down into tears after watching her multiple friends get eliminated from the round. Additionally, Mariah felt that she could have a better vocal. Mariah told the judges that she wasn't her best vocally but she performed her little tail off. Luke complimented Mariah's performance and called her a soul singer who loves the country. Despite her weak performance, Luke reveals that Mariah has made the Top 24!!! As fans can recall, Mariah received a platinum ticket winner-like treatment as 'American idol' judges revealed during her auditions that Mariah joined Noah Thompson and HunterGirl for a performance in Las Vegas.

They even called out the judges for pushing Mariah to be the next HunterGirl. A social media user tweeted, "They want Mariah to be HunterGirl so bad 🙄." Another person noted, "Luke telling america to vote ringer mariah... judges no shame." Another viewers tweeted, "Like how they are pretending like mariah wasnt ringer from start #americanidol .. no doubt they put her in top 24." Another person noted, "Tonite‘s proof U shud stop w/ the Platinum tkts cuz the judges clearly R not good enuf 2 predict consistency. Last season they forced Hunter girl thru even though she was ordinary & common. Let us decide. It’s not fair 2 the other contestants either." Another user said, "Hi Lionel. Big fan.
