PARIS, FRANCE: With great hoopla and anticipation, the first part of Netflix's 'Emily in Paris' Season 4 premiered on Thursday, December 15, 2022, prompting viewers to explore how this particular character is the biggest red flag since the show's inception.

The show was initially centered on Emily Cooper's (Lily Collins) quest to integrate herself into the rich Parisian lifestyle, but as the show and narrative progressed, several new narratives were introduced to experiment with the plotline. From developing the love triangle to generating schisms among the characters, the show has done it all. However, one thing stays constant, the true grey character of the series that has been hiding in plain sight.

Which one character is the major red flag in 'Emily in Paris'?

Initially shown as the archetypal Parisian, this character gradually unveils a multifaceted and cunning nature during the series. The twisted character in question is none other than Camille (Camille Razat), who has consistently shown self-centeredness from the beginning of 'Emily in Paris'.

We cannot dismiss her cunning tactics, even if we give her the benefit of the doubt, since Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) was the one who cheated on her with Emily. Despite having a relationship with Sofia Sideris (Melia Kreiling) and being unwilling to marry Gabriel, Camille broke the marriage, citing her pact with Emily not to date Gabriel. However, in reality, she was already having a secret affair with Sofia, and instead of coming clean about it, she blamed Emily and Gabriel's unresolved feelings for her not going ahead with the wedding.

Camille's manipulative tactics continue in Season 4 as well, as it was revealed in the 'Emily in Paris' Season 4 Part 1 finale that she is not pregnant. Even though she admitted that she was unaware of the situation, she did not divulge the truth to Gabriel. Instead of disclosing the truth, Camile withheld until the last seconds of the episode, in an attempt to catch more of Gabriel's attention.

Why did Camille need to redeem herself in  'Emily in Paris' Season 4 Part 2?

It's understandable that Camille feels lonely after her fallout with Sofia and wants Gabriel's attention, but this is wrong on so many levels. She cancels the wedding, blames Gabriel and Emily, moves in with her lover, and when things don't go her way, she manipulates the emotions of the others.

We already know how thrilled Gabriel is for the baby, so withholding this news from the guy is nothing but a cruel maneuver since it is certain that the truth will be exposed one day, and that day will not be pleasant for Camille.

Camille has to redeem herself in Part 2 since it's past time she demonstrates that she's learned from her errors and is striving to become a better person and is honest about her acts and the repercussions.

A genuine apology to both Gabriel and Emily might serve as a starting point. That being said, it would be interesting to witness how Camille's redemption arc will play out and if now then how far she can go to ensure things go according to her will.
