COUNTY MAYO, IRELAND: 'Irish Wish' debuted on Netflix on Friday, March 15, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations.

The story follows Maddie (Lindsay Lohan), a book editor. She faces a dilemma when her ideal partner is about to marry her best friend in Ireland.

However, things change unexpectedly when she makes a wish on an ancient stone, turning her into the bride instead.

Directed by Janeen Damian, this romantic comedy starring Lindsay Lohan, Ed Speleers, and Alexander Vlahos among others has left fans with mixed opinions about the film.

Netizens flocked to X to share their thoughts, discussing what they enjoyed and disliked about the movie.

Viewers disappointed with lack of Irishmen in Netflix flick 'Irish Wish'

One user, let down by the film said, "Disappointed to watch IrishWish and discover that Lindsay Lohan did not in fact bring about a 32 county unified socialist Irish republic." While another wrote, "The stylist for this movie needs to be fired cuz wtf," commenting on the bad outfit choices for the film. An exhausted fan also said, "Me watching the insanity that is IrishWis,"" expressing how they cannot stand the movie.

One fan expressed what he thought was a mediocre film saying, "I have no idea why this movie feels so stiff most of the time. The script is pretty clunky but it feels like every scene is the first time everyone is reading it. It’s an okay premise for a rom com (basically a Disney/Lohan classic idea lol). Could’ve been more 2/5"

One fan said, "Fifteen minutes into IrishWish on Netflix. The two male leads are Welsh and English, and Lindsey Lohan just bragged that her client is one of the best selling authors in the UK. Was anyone Irish involved in this film, lol? Or were all the Irishmen just booked and busy?"

Despite 'Irish Wish' leaving fans dissatisfied, viewers appreciate Lindsay Lohan's casting

One fan complimented Lindsay Lohan's character saying, "LINDSAY LOHAN LOOKS F*****G AMAZING OMMMG," while another fan wrote, "Currently watching IrishWish Lindsay Lohan looks amazing, I love how much she’s grown!"

Appreciating Lohan's beauty, one fan commented, "I used to pray for times like this Lindsay Lohan comeback of the decade! She looks terrific, healthy, and booked!" Excited about Lohan's return, a fan wrote "La Lohan is back!!!"

One fan expressed her love for rom-com movies and appreciated the cast members saying, "Having now watched IrishWish, my first thoughts were right: “Oooh it’s a cute cheesy rom-com and I’m so here for it ” It’s a cute movie loved seeing @lindsaylohan, EdSpeelers & @vlavla. If you’re looking for a feel good, easy watch, this is it."
