NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: It's time to wrap off another season of 'The Real Housewives of Potomac,' and part three of the reunion promises to be electrifying. Candiace Dillard Bassett's conflict with co-star Gizelle Bryant reaches a boiling point in the episode airing on April 14.
During an event celebrating the debut of Gizelle and Ashley's clothing brand, Deborah Williams, a friend of Ashley Darby, had a violent argument. Bravo producer and Housewives reunion host Andy Cohen asks Gizelle who she thinks is to blame for this incident on the Sunday episode.
The mother of three replies that she holds everyone responsible for the confrontation accountable, including Deborah, Candiace, Dr Wendy Osefo, and Wendy's close friend Keiana Stewart.
"Wow. Y'all want me to be friends with this? Like you want me to make up with this?" Seemingly addressing the producers off-screen, Candiace poses the query.
Gizelle retracts her inclusion after Wendy argues that she "had nothing" to do with the fight, and fellow Housewife Mia Thornton calls her out on it. She adds, "I'll take Wendy out of it."
"But trying to start a business, and it being on TMZ for there to be a brawl, is disturbing."
'RHOP's Candiace Dillard Bassett was ready to fight back against Deborah Williams
Candiace tells Karen Huger, her co-star, why she called Deborah a "varmint," saying it was because the other lady "got right in my face and said, 'Do you have something you want to say to me?'"
The "Insecure" singer acknowledges that she is unsure if Candiace would have "swung" the champagne bottle she was carrying at Deborah when Andy asked.
"I don't know what I would have done. I know that I turned around, and I saw this person lunging at me. I'm not expecting you all to fight for me, OK? So I'm on my own," Candiace announces to her other co-stars.
Teddi Mellencamp hints Gizelle Bryant had 'issues' with not getting first chair at 'RHOP' Season 8 Reunion
On a recent edition of "Two Ts In A Pod," Teddi Mellencamp revealed, "I do think that somebody else was having issues swallowing, and that was Gizelle when she realized that she didn’t have the first seat."
She asked, "Did you see her walk out and try to sit, and then was like, 'Oh, who’s sitting here?'"
"How embarrassing was that?" Carlos King questioned, suggesting, "When you have had first chair for seven consecutive seasons? Honey."
He added, "And to find out as you’re walking out? Nothing is more embarrassing. But, I will say this, good for the producers, because it made Gizelle aware [that] no one is safe."
Why did Candiace Dillard Bassett quit 'RHOP'?
Bravo, the show's network, announced on its website that Candiace is taking a "break" from 'RHOP'. "This is not a farewell, but a 'see you later,'" Candiace said in a statement to PEOPLE.
The former Miss USA and Obama campaign employee gave her reason for wanting to concentrate on her next acting and music projects. She did not provide a date for her implied return to the series, opting instead to express her gratitude to the fans for their continued support.
"Your unwavering support has been my guiding light, and I look forward to the exciting adventures that lie ahead — and more importantly, sharing them all with you!" she told the platform.
Part 3 of 'The Real Housewives of Potomac's' eighth season reunion will premiere on Bravo on Sunday at 8 pm ET/PT, and it will stream on Peacock the following day.
