How long have Mia Thornton and Incognito been dating? 'RHOP' star's beau believes he’s father of her son with ex Gordon
POTOMAC, MARYLAND: Mia Thornton and her spouse of more than a decade, Gordon Thornton, divorced after the cameras stopped rolling for Season 8 of 'The Real Housewives of Potomac'. During the dramatic finale on March 24, Gordon questioned the history of Mia's relationship with her now-boyfriend, Incognito, raising some unpleasant suspicions.
When 'RHOP' producers asked Mia when she and Gordon formally split, she answered July 2023. She indicates that if he hadn't gone to TMZ, she would not have decided to split, considering how strongly Gordon opposed it.
Gordon made derogatory comments about her in the newspaper. The two separated in July 2023 but did not publicly announce their breakup until September.
In an interview with TMZ in October 2023, Gordon revealed that he had allowed Mia to sleep with other men. "I know there’s going to come a time when I probably won’t be able to satisfy all of her needs," he said.
Gordon also stated that he granted Mia freedom to "find what [she] need[ed] elsewhere," and expressed disappointment in her decision to end their 11-year marriage. “What really aggravates me through all of this, is that I’d given her permission, and yet she still chooses to sneak around, chooses to lie, chooses to continually change her story about what’s going on and why she’s leaving me,” he said.
Mia informed the producers that the 'RHOP' Season 8 trailer, in which she implied to costar Ashley Darby that she married Gordon for his money, may have also influenced their decision to divorce. She feels Gordon did the TMZ article because he didn't like it.
When Mia complains about her living circumstances with Gordon at home, he responds that it is the result of her own choices. He also mentioned that he knew Mia had been in a relationship with Incognito for more than ten years, but chose to stay quiet to keep their marriage intact.
Gordon accused Mia of sleeping with Incognito while he was away, and to top it off, this information was made known to him by their children. Gordon was readily concerned because the youngsters got embroiled in the "said mess."
Gordon recalls agreeing to Mia seeing other men when he reached 70 but with two conditions. First, he wanted her to be covert, and second, he did not want the "kids to get involved."
Mia did both, concealing her relationship with Incognito and spending days at his home with her children. Apparently, their son, Jeremiah, questioned Gordon, "Dad, why is mommy trying to replace you with Mr INC?"
Mia alleges she attempted to rekindle in April, but Gordon was aware of her every action and choice.
When the producers asked Gordon off-camera (still mic'd in) if Mia's prerequisites for having an open relationship did not include Incognito, Gordon said no. He alleges the radio personality and Mia's former lover attempted to end their marriage.
As Mia seems angered by Gordon's suggestion that she was in a long-term relationship with Incognito, Gordon instantly questions why the radio personality believes he is the father of their boy, Jeremiah. Even though Mia maintains she only resumed her romance with Incognito last year, this question disrupts the entire trajectory of their relationship.
Is Incognito Jeremiah's biological father?
In her confessional, Mia recounts telling Gordon while she was pregnant with her son that the baby might not be his because of the timeline. According to Mia, Gordon raised the child as his own because he loved her.
Mia also denies having been asked for a paternity test.
Also, during the explosive Season 8 Reunion teaser, which debuted on March 22, host Andy Cohen stated that Gordon previously claimed Jeremiah was not his child. The Bravo producer then questioned Mia if her new boyfriend felt he was the young child's father.
"He does," Mia answered, before her co-star Ashley inquired, "Still?"
Will RHOP's Mia Thornton marry Incognito?
Speaking of her relationship with Incognito, Mia told the 'RHOP' producers, "INC was someone from my past, high school sweetheart long time ago. Gordon was aware of me sleeping with him when we first got married because I told him once in counseling. We moved on from it."
Mia claims that when Gordon wasn't "quite himself," she started rekindling with Incognito. "I was going through it not knowing if I wanted to get separated, and I have been very open with Gordon. And Gordon has been fully aware."
Gordon informed the producers that Mia frequently visited him with problems and even referred to Incognito as her "safe zone." She even addressed him as her "soul mate."
Mia ultimately informed the producers that she had to follow her heart. She describes Incognito as "a good friend, and he's also been really supportive of my decisions in life. He told me 10 years ago, he will be here when I'm ready."
He has been true to it and has not asked anybody else to marry him. "If now's the time, now's the time," Mia feels.
RHOP's Mia Thornton wants to 'work together' with Gordon Thornton for the sake of their children
Mia recently told Page Six that she does not want to say anything negative about Gordon because both of them have two young children together, a son, Jeremiah, and a daughter, Juliana. "I’m trying to reel him in, and we need to work together as a family," she said.
"We have these beautiful babies that we’re raising, and being a mom is No. 1 for me. And I’m very proud to hold that title of being Supermom."
She stated that her children are doing well, despite their parents' separation. "And we have happy kids," she finished.
"I want them to stay happy."
