Season 17 of 'America's Got Talent' resumes on Tuesday, June 14 with more performances including comedy, dancers, singers, and others. A knife-throwing duo performs a death-defying knife routine before Simon Cowell in the latest round of auditions.

The judges include Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara, and Howie Mandel, with Terry Crews returning to host. NBC has announced that 'AGT' Season 17 would feature ten weeks of tryouts before the live events begin in August. This implies that, contrary to popular belief, the traditional Judge Cuts round will not be reinstated. Tyron and Michael Laner of Blade to Blade hit the stage in Week 3 to wow the judges and obtain a ticket to the Vegas performance as soon as possible.

It is no wonder that Simon Cowell likes the risky acts on 'AGT,' particularly since he created 'America's Got Talent: Extreme' earlier this year, which segregated the dangerous acts into their own series. Simon, who is still wearing a brace from a bicycle accident, joined Tyrone and Michael Laner from Blade to Blade as part of their death-defying knife and ax tossing performance on Tuesday night's 'AGT!' Tune in to NBC this week as Simon doesn't budge an inch while the axes fly terrifyingly close to his torso!

Howie taunted Simon, saying, “I guess it’s safer than being on a bike.” Blade to Blade has previously been on 'France's Got Talent,' 'Spain's Got Talent,' 'Greece's Got Talent,' and 'Britain's Got Talent.' It remains to be seen how far they can advance in America.

Blade to Blade's stint at the 'Got Talent' stage

Tyrone Laner and Guillermina "Mina" Pagliergo are a knife-throwing team from Spain and Argentina who reached the Semi-Finals of 'Britain's Got Talent' Series 11. Simon inquired about Tyrone's scar before their audition, to which he answered, "It's because we do dangerous things." Mina began her audition by bending against a wall, clutching a rose on her lips. Tyrone then launched knives at the rose, gradually approaching Mina's mouth. Mina then stood with her back to the wall, avoiding knives thrown at her from the left and right. Eventually, Tyrone was blindfolded, and the knife was lit on fire, and Tyrone flung knives on either side of Mina, who was standing straight against the wall. "I could totally see this in the Semi-Finals of 'Britain's Got Talent'," judge Amanda said, while David said they had "amazing skill" and "incredible presentation."

The duo performed to Lindsey Stirling's 'The Arena' in the Semi-Finals, opening with the pair tango dancing with each other. Tyrone then hurled knives toward Mina, traveling diagonally above, before tossing axes on either side of her. Mina was then placed on a spinning wheel, with Tyrone throwing knives on either side of her. "We're playing this happy music and at the same time you’re going to murder your wife," Simon said, adding, "I don’t know whether I want to see you again if we can have technical issues with a choir [referring to St. Patrick's Junior Choir]." "I don’t know what could happen with this. I can't imagine trusting anyone that much," Alesha said.

Who are Tyrone and Michael Laner?

Tyrone Laner and Mina Pagliergo tried for Season 15 of 'America's Got Talent,' but did not make it to the Judge Cuts. Their audition was never aired. Tyrone Laner tried for the sixth season of 'Spain's Got Talent' with his brother Michael Laner under the moniker 'Blade 2 Blade' in early 2021. They then went for 'France's Got Talent' again in November 2021, where they were disqualified in the auditions and buzzed by Marriane James. Tyrone entered 'Greece's Got Talent' in 2022 with a new partner called Zulema Santana. Tyrone Laner and his brother Michael Laner are on the seventeenth season of 'America's Got Talent' as 'Blade 2 Blade.'

To find out if they make it this time, tune in to NBC on Tuesday at 8 p.m. for an all-new episode of 'AGT' Season 17.
