'You made a mistake': 'The Voice' fans slam coaches for not saving Lana Love from elimination
UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: Pitting four chair-turn artist Omar Cardona against Lana Love for 'The Voice' Battles round might not have been the best decision made by celebrity coach John Legend. The EGOT winner paired the two vocal powerhouses for the battles round as he felt that the duo had the most "broadway" vibe about them amongst his Team Legend members.
Unfortunately for John, both Omar and Lana brought in their A-game and delivered a flawless rendition of 'Into the Unkown', leaving not only the coaches but also the audience spoilt for choice. Omar and Lana matched each other's energy and delivered such an impeccable performance that the coaches, especially John, had a very hard time picking a winner between them. Eventually, John picked four-chair turn artist Omar as the winner of the battle, as he felt that the 33-year-old had the rare quality of singing soulfully.

While the fans were happy to see Omar win, they, however, weren't pleased with Lana's exit from the competition. After Omar was named the winner, Lana thanked the coaches and left the stage. Since none of the coaches used their steal or save lifeline on her, Lana's journey on the show came to an end despite her stellar performance.
'The Voice' fans took to Twitter to call out the coaches for not saving someone as talented as Lana. A fan tweeted, "@johnlegend #TheVoice Omar stayed, as he should have… but letting Lana go without a save was the err of this season. I do hope the coaches help her get to Broadway where she rightfully deserves to be #TheVoiceLana #Broadway."
"@johnlegend #TheVoice man tough choice. Omar was right decision but Lana! Wish you could save," wrote a fan. "Okay but Lana and Omar absolutely killed that performance! I literally got chills, it was so good! It is so sad to see Lana go! #TheVoice," commented a fan.
