'Destroyed Whitney's song': 'The Voice' fans slam Camila Cabello's song choice for Andrew Igbokidi and Zach Newbould
UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: 'The Voice' coach Camila Cabello is once again getting all the heat for her "terrible song choices." The new celebrity coach's decision to pick the legendary Whitney Houston's 'Somebody to Love' as battles song for two male artists didn't sit well with the NBC show's fans.
The 'Havana' singer paired four-chair turn artist Andrew Igbokidi with Zach Newbould for the battles round and assigned Whitney's iconic song to them. Camila explained her song choice by pointing out how both Andrew and Zach were very emotie singers, so she felt that they would do justice to the Whitney Houston song. Andrew expressed his surprise and confusion over the song choice but claimed that it made sense once he saw the arrangement of the song for them. The duo put a pop spin on the song under the mentorship of Camila and battles advisor Charlie Puth. While the coaches were pleased with the outcome and couldn't stop raving about how Andrew and Zach took on a bold song choice, the fans however didn't share the same feeling.
